Why isn't Soviet history taught in American schools?

Why isn't Soviet history taught in American schools?

THAT'S NOT REAL HISTORY

[COLAPSE]

Some of it is? But to be honest outside of WW2 and the cold war they are basically irrelevant for young people to focus on.

High school cares more about churning out jingoist patriots who are capable of not forgetting to breathe and remembering not to stick their hands in factory equipment. Colleges here will require you to take world history in some fashion.

Some of it is, but only in relation to WW1, WW2, and the Cold War. That's how it was when I was in school, anyway.

Because American's aren't soviets and America's education system hasn't been infiltrated by Soviets.

>america
>factories
You're so funny. They churn them out to do service industry and retail jobs.

Might give the proles some ideas.

How much do the Russian young blyads get taught about American history?

Teenagers already are attracted to edgy Che t-shirt communism. The capitalists don't want to make it worse and hope they grow out of it.

Fear.

[COLAPSE]

> American "history"
Revolution, Civil Wars, participation in the World Wars, general outline of Cold War and maybe the first Iraq invasion. What else is there to know?

What?

It's incredibly important for students learn about the successes and failures of the world's first anticapitalist experiment.

I think the Soviet Union is up there with Athens, Rome, and the United States in its historic importance.

This

Quite a bit, user

Because American schools are full of Marxists.

That about how much an American learns about American history.

Only colleges in the Northeast really

Edgy teenagers who think themselves as communists to piss of their parents are not proles.

There's quite a lot of stuff there's to know, but if you include that it will push out important subjects like STEM and art.

...

They don't? Maybe the program is shit and biased but any class of 20th century history deals with the Russian revolution, civil war and stalin.

I mean, I was.

[COLAPSE]

what you need to know about soviet history.

1. ww1, russian revolution, reds defeat the whites after germany sends lenin to russia, reds slaughter the imperial family.
2. stalin takes power, is a paranoid and brutal idiot, ukraine famine, winter war with finland, non aggression pact with hitler,
3. ww2, germany invades them and kills slavs and jews, muh stalingrad muh kursk, lend-lease, muh vasili zaitzev, soviets spies all over the usa and england, soviets take berlin
4. soviets occupy all of eastern europe except yugoslavia and greece, some nations get absorbed into the cccp, some nations get puppet communist governments, germany split in half, berlin split in half, berlin airlift
5. soviets test a nuclear bomb thanks to spying on americans, commie spies in america caught and executed, McCarthyism, cold war, proxy wars all over asia/africa/south america/carib, some warsaw pact nations try to revolt and get brutally oppressed
6. soviets get a lot of firsts in space travel, americans get to the moon, more proxy wars, bay of pigs, berlin wall, cuban missile crisis, sino soviet split
7. more proxy wars, afghanistan invasion, olympics boycotts, nuclear treaties, oil prices collapse
8. soviet economy collapses, communist party tries to reform economy to more market drive, a series of coups, warsaw nations and satellite states are breaking off, soviet union collapses, a fat alcoholic becomes president of russia,
9. a decade of everything being shit in russia, massive russian immigration out of russia, america paying russia to build parts of the ISS
10. putin and the oligarchs take over russia, oil and gas prices are high, things look good for russia again
11. crimea invasion, novorussia proxy war, oil and gas prices collapse, usa and russian relations at cold war levels again, democrats blaming russia for leaking all their dirty secrets, democrats want new cold war with russia

But it is, usually starting from their involvement in the world wars and the cold war

It's literally the opposite. High School teaches students to hate America.

>Why isn't history taught in American schools?
FTFY

Fucking how

But it is OP. It's just not "state" history.

before or after pledging unyielding allegiance to it each day?

They make up for it en masse as soon as they enter college.

had to learn much about a country who 20 or so years ago hid everything about themselves form us.

I actually was taught Russian/Soviet history from 1908 to its collapse in 10th grade. It was an advanced college level class based on British curriculum from Cambridge though. It was basically about 20th century and the cold war though.

because russia is gommunists and gommunism is ebil :DDD

Retard.

Because they've been their greatest enemy in the previous century. There's also the probability of them indirectly debunking their Cold War- themed myths on how the Lend-Lease turned the tide of the Eastern Front, even though the shipments only started arriving in the later stages of the war.

0.The Bolshevik revolution was heavily financed and supported by the German government and it's military intelligence, hence it being ultimately successful.

Also, Stalin caused less deaths than Lenin, but he's hated more because he wasn't a Western peon and he and his administration have actually transformed an outdated country into a factual nuclear and space super power.

> Putin and the oligarchs

Most Oligarchs have either fled are have remained in thrall to him and while we're at it, you're skills of summarizing are deplorable.

Because it's not fucking history. Not yet.

The Soviet Union died, but a little bit of it still survived. The cold war hasn't really ended. Only the first round.

Why should they sabotage their own current effort and raise sympathy for the Soviet Union?

/thread

Dimitri please

I can tell your a shit hole big city. Out here, kids go to school and right into the factories.

>putin got rid of the oligarchs and those that are here are under his control
