ME3 ending issue is just isn't worth dealing with. Picking an ending to be canon and running with it would have been a dumpster fire, jumping decades/centuries ahead to a time when everything is fixed and ignoring it wouldn't have worked much better.

At least I find the entire Andromeda premise interesting and it means no need to even talk about Shepard and what he did.

Synthesis is basically a "and they all lived happily ever after" ending, it's the reverse of Reject.

You wouldn't ignore it's effects, just make it not an option since it's a closed ending. Same way the ME2 suicide mission ending where Shepard falls to his death from the Normandy doesn't import to ME3.

He felt more to me like a character who is there to react to the revelations about the Kett and Angara because otherwise you'd have no connection to them and they'd mean little to you. He's also there to react to the strangeness of the Milky Way races and everyone in your crew to remind you that you're aliens in the galaxy. And like all the first companions of a race, he's there so you can see what Angara are like.

These other aspects of him you listed are barely focused on other than a couple throwaway lines out in the universe unless you play his romance. I don't know why you latched onto them so much.
