That neck still really bothers me. How can someone so good at shading still be so mediocre at anatomy?
Daniel Gray
What's wrong with the neck?
Gabriel Williams
Is it too long?
Alexander Flores
Look at where the neck ends and the head begins on both of those pictures. Both of them are positioned way too far back; if the fox in the bottom picture tilted her head down, she'd basically be sticking her head straight out forward.
Jace Davis
The fuck OC is this supposed to be?

First one is Mangledesh Mangle, second one is Funtime Foxy.
Jonathan Collins
>completely grey >looks like a mutant cat/wolf hybrid with a daytime TV hostess hairstyle >supposed to be Mangle/Funtime Foxy
Yeah, not buying it.
Aaron White
I don't think Mangledesh ever once drew Mangle with an actual canon color scheme. For some bizarre reason.
Coffee has some unusual ideas about how to interpret these characters. Can't say I'm not a fan though.
What a strange journey it's been.

Last thread made me want to see a gory Shin Godzilla redesign of Ballora, with an operatic rendition of Crumbling Dreams. And the Minireenas emerging from her backside.
Connor Kelly
>Minireenas emerging from her body
I can see that happening in canon, hell it probably happened like that on Night 4.
>Ballora gets punched open by the scooper >Minireenas emerge from her body and start crawling everywhere
Imagine if they eventually matured into new Balloras. Have a group of tall sexy ballerina robots.
In the outtake, Springtrap's wheezing reminds me a bit of the headcrab zombie audio from HL2. Follow your dreams, Springtrap.

Or they combine to form a gigantic Voltron ballerina.

Because a 200-foot-tall Ballora is an incredibly hot fantasy.
Justin Kelly
Yall have such trash taste its hard to even comprehend
Andrew Hill
Which part, the giantism or Ballora?
Connor Gutierrez
I might be with you on this one, actually. It's a shame that it's too deviant for any OCfags. In a cruel twist of fate, it's like you've reached the bottom of the barrel, dug through, and hit the lid of another barrel buried beneath. Too extreme for this general. Woe befalls the molemen.
Brayden Cox
I think its a mix of both.
Mason Gomez
Hey now, all things considered that's pretty vanilla. It's not like he's advocating hyper-inflation or something.
Kevin Collins
You mean like Ace right
Xavier Smith
An all-minireena Voltron sounds kinda boring What bots would make for an interesting Voltron?
Camden Robinson
Yeah. Also Bnom and Crisis and a few others I can't really remember.

Gabriel Gomez
Couldn't you say that about, like, all of this? This general and fandom and all the weird shit we do with it? Hyper and inflation are shit fetishes, but just saying "it's cringey so people should keep it to themselves" shows a real lack of perspective.
Aiden Scott
It could be worse. We could be full of roleplayers like every other FNAF community.
Grayson Gray
Not as bad as the great springthirst/gaythirst back in the day. It was so bad that it wasn't even worth being in the thread.
Jaxson Gomez
>who was CDF Thank god we got rid of her twice. Here's hoping there's never a chance to do it again.
Brody Turner
When did Crisis do hyper stuff? All I remember is huge yummy boobies.
Nolan Sullivan
Shamchat was a thing for a while, and Jockstrapanon posting pictures of himself wearing a Freddy kigu and Bonnie mask rubbing his big belleh seems pretty borderline.
Luke Phillips
According to Kinkly.com >Hyper fetish refers to the sexual fascination with abnormally large body parts. These body parts often include the penis, breasts, ass, and muscles.
Levi Nguyen
Twice?
Dylan Sanchez
I don't recall him making anything that would be considered "hyper". H- and J-cups are huge but real women have them too.
Hunter Rogers
If definitely use hyper to describe some of his stuff, but it'd all be on the low end of the scale.
>shamchat Oof, man That was fucking awful How did anybody think it was a good ideq
Adrian Lee
Remember when Ghost wanted to RP as Dusty in the thread and then Protom said that was a good idea and that he wanted to do that with some of his New Management characters and hardly anybody called them out on it because they were really popular at the time? 'Cause I do.
Joseph Turner
>ghost now a mere specter of himself while protom is just another writefag
I guess karma evens out but fuck, that chat shit would warrant a /trash/ing. I remember it, but as a kind of fever dream. I can't believe that happened.
Asher Garcia
Nice. But seriously, cut that out. Remember when they both realized that it was a bad idea and listened those few hatenanons knowing it was the right call? Cause I do. Look I know you like being dramatic but ease off on the fever dream excuse. Protip: Protom was always just another writefag and this culture of building OCfags up led to many bad things then and now.
Easton Jenkins
It's a fitting application, I'd say. It's like a weird dream you don't write down and then months later it hits you and you barely remember it, you just know you experienced it. The open furry RP nature of it is truly bizarre.
Nicholas Ramirez
>hateanons I guess that's one name for it. Remember, this was in the era before widespread OCfag hate took over. There was nothing malicious about what little criticism they received. >Protip: Protom was always just another writefag I think you're failing to remember just how popular and influential New Management was. Like it or not, there's always going to be a bit of celebrity culture prevalent in the thread. Saying Protom was "just another writefag" back then would be willfully ignoring almost everyone else's opinion of him and his work.
Robert Martinez
>Blon Shit nigga, I requested that.
Jace Hill
>before widespread OCfag hate took over. It's hilarious you think this as if it applies to everyone when it doesn't and act like there's no reason for the hate for those when there is.
But we've gone over this enough times. How bout them Freddy's video games?
Lucas Perry
>implying an 'ask ____' thread is the same as open roleplaying Both didn't go through with it after asking thread opinion. Stop twisting thread history around to suit your views.
Jonathan Martinez
>implying it's not the same I agree with you about stop twisting history but don't pretend there's a difference in the end.
Christian Mitchell
There is, an 'ask ___' thread is good for character crafting and world building, bringing in extra characters if the question references them. Open roleplaying would mean having multiple OCfags/user assuming roles with no concrete world to work with since control would be split between different people. Neither are good ideas, but there is a difference between the two.
Camden Kelly
How about them?
Adam Sanchez
I bet you also think futa isn't gay.
Brody Myers
You know what else is good for world building? Making comics or using requests to show how characters react to a given situation. >but porn is all that's requested You can still use porn as a way to have some real character shown by adding more to the eye-candy if it's consistent. One of the few who like them all from a game play and design standpoint. While it was a bad way to end by having it all be a dream I thought 1-4 were good enough without SL mucking it all up further.
Jaxon Diaz
can someone draw me a purple guy hitting on a femanon?
Lincoln Mitchell
I mean, is there anything you feel like starting a discussion about, something that won't make you shit your pants because ORIGINAL CONTENT REEEEEEEE?
Eli Ortiz
>Implying there are any femanons Girls don't post anything but art. And since there are no artists left there are no girls left.
Hunter Kelly
>Using requests to show how characters react to a given situation Isn't that what an 'Ask' thread is? "How would you handle it if you lost your arm?" What's the difference between "requesting seeing ___ dealing with ____" and "___, how would you deal with ____?" If this were tumblr where people could reblog that ask with their own OC shit and create cringey RP chains, I would 100% understand why the response to that would be a booming 'Fuck no.', but on Veeky Forums an 'Ask' thread would be no different than a one-sided quest, wouldn't it?
Brody Young
so fune XD
Oliver Parker
Hush, adults are talking. Here it ends up as avatarfagging and then you get shitposting about how Ace is really Bonnie or Mizu uses Femtrap as her fursona. The degree of separation between artist and their characters is paramount to keep this place looking like those cringey rp chains. I mean god it was pathetic seeing people talk to Crisis Purple.
But that's just like my opinion man.
Thomas Davis
I feel like you hit the nail on the head. There's a difference between saying "Wouldn't it be funny to see Bonnie drinking a can of bees." and "Lol, Bonnie, watch out, you're drinking a can of bees!". People can break down and simplify the terminology as much as they want, but there's a real difference between talking about characters and pretending to interact with them.
Ethan Lewis
Then why are quests accepted here? Those are basically dropping the "wouldnt it be ___ to see _____" in favor of directly interacting with the characters/story. Are quests immune because it's only a temporary thing, an established "we will begin the quest now and all pretend that these characters can respond to your posting" that people go into and then at some point has a definitive "okay, I'm going to sleep, I will pause the quest here"?
Because that makes sense to me. It's definitely a lot different than a sudden character being posted with "hey, want to ask ___ a question?" and then people go into it until there's a definitive "okay, I'm going to sleep, thanks for all the questions!"
But seriously, I'm sure there's some other contrived reason you could come up with that allows you to be comfortable with your personal view of what's cringey and what's acceptable.
>It's not about what we think is cringey, it's what the mods think is cringey
Everyone likes to remember shit around here, so here's one for you: Remember the hotpockalypse? Of course you do, everyone likes to remember about that one, and why it should serve as a reminder to never be too 'furry.' But no one remembers how after the dust settled, this place exploded with all kinds of content and posting that, were it to happen now, people would say belongs in the /trash/. Frankly that's what I'd expect to happen again, were there a new game on the horizon and if we hadn't done a better job of killing this place ourselves than any mod ever could.
Hunter Jenkins
...
Jackson Gonzalez
What's so funny?
Evan Garcia
>Then why are quests accepted here? Because we don't talk directly too the characters, just guide them. It's "have the protagonist play Contra and hit on Oracle." not "*Calls Oracle a cutey while playing Contra*". >Remember the hotpockalypse? I do, actually. I also remember how tame everything was for months afterwards and how the slow creep of furriedom eventually seeped back in. I remember how diverse the content was and how guys like Weaver refused to indulge his fans demand for AU content until more than a year afterwards.
Adam Adams
>It's "have the protagonis play Contra and hit on Oracle." not "*Calls Oracle a cutey while playing Contra*" I think you might want to go back and read through some archived threads. At 'best' people respond in simple, concise commands like "Use your gun", but even then they use the 2nd person, because it's a command. And when it's not 2nd person, it's "We need to use our gun."
>Play Contra >Oh, is that some Contra? Go play that shit. >Hey look, Contra Nobody in the history of quests has been so desperate to convince themselves that they aren't actually enjoying roleplaying games as to go "Ah, yes, have HARPER play Contra and hit on Oracle," because who the fuck would even do that. Like what, are you telling Ghost? You can't just play along, you have to tell him to "Oh, draw a picture of the same situation but have it taking place a few seconds in the future after Philip has begun playing Contra whilst flirting with Oracle."?
Look, I get it, you don't want to do things that you already consider to be stupid and for gay furfags that are unabashedly, rampantly lacking in self awareness. But did you know? They are having a lot more fun indulging in bullshit than we are trying to convince ourselves that these 'rules' we have in place are for the Greater Good and that fun is secondary. Maybe tertiary.
Basically, user, I'm telling you to lighten up and allow some fun once in a while, or this place won't be worth "saving from the /trash/" because there will be nothing here worth talking about.
Michael Green
>WHY AREN'T YOU EXCLUSIVELY DISCUSSING THE GAMES AND NOVELS THEMSELVES WHILE SPECULATING OVER THE LORE?!:The Argument
Christian Gonzalez
I'm all for fun, but rollplaying isn't a road this thread should ever go down. Sometimes you gotta know when to draw the line, and I say that's probably a good place to start.
Liam White
A quest is just the internet equivalent of tabletop gaming, also known, officially, as roleplaying. Of course a quest is roleplaying. The user all played the role of Phillip Harper by saying what they'd do if they were him, and Ghost picked a response that was the most 'Phillip Harper' thing to do. That's what a quest is.
You are all getting hung up on the stigma of roleplaying as a term, not all roleplaying is logging onto Gaia as 'Smexy_SephyRAWRth_Uke666' to try and bid for the legendary rainbow winged fedora while listening to the latest MCR album on repeat from the embedded playlist on your Naruto-skinned Myspace page. Roleplaying as a medium for storytelling is not inherently bad.
Jose Gray
I disagree. Roleplaying is something the thread has done numerous times before. Just like with creating OC's, just like with drawing fanart, just like with writing fanfiction, just like with posting on a malaysian translation sheet about a video game, there are good and bad ways to do it. To ban the entire practice outright is a mistake, otherwise why stop there? Why not say OC interpretation of animatronics aren't allowed? They could be considered to be furries with lines on them after all, like Tired's or Crisis's. In fact, why even allow any fan made drawings here? We all know how alluring the call of the furry is, so best to not even dabble in that black magic.
Yes, exactly, that's what my point was.
James Nelson
Yes, there are semantics at play. If you break anything down enough you can probably link it to anything else. However, what we're talking about is talking directly to people pretending to be a fictional character. Not playing a game, not reacting to art or a story, but assuming a false persona and having other share in that willful delusion. Rollplay at its most basic. Taken on its own, it is not something accepted on Veeky Forums, and has never been something the thread has ever collectively been able to behind. It is regularly derided as something to be loathed; and no matter how innocent the intent, these things always set a precedent. You can make all the comparisons and justifications and excuses you want, but at the end of the day, there is something that sets it apart from all the other forms of creative interaction we participate in here. Just because we do one thing doesn't mean we should do everything. There is always a line. There is always "too far". And whether you agree with it or not, rollplay is beyond that line, and will most likely continue to be unless there are some major reforms in standard and social taboos around here.
Matthew Cook
Reminder Foxy is an innocent robot who did nothing wrong.
Elijah Green
Could've sworn I've seen this artist before. Many moons ago, on a MLP ask blog I followed at the time.
Jonathan Gomez
What about that time he stuck his head through the door and went EEEEEEEEEE? How can you possibly excuse that?
Gavin Miller
Don't forget that he left the cove after hours.
Lucas Ross
>unless there are some major reforms in standard and social taboos around here What do you think we're trying to do here? People won't rethink their taboos if nobody points out how retarded/hypocritical they are.
>not playing a game, not reacting to art or a story, but assuming a false persona and having other share in that willful delusion first of all >not reacting to art or a story bullshit, because art or a story gets posted and people react to it >not playing a game Oh okay, my bad, I wasn't aware that "playing pretend" was in fact not the correct use of words. If collectively coming together and agreeing to a set of made up rules to have a good time isn't a game, then what the fuck is? Baseball is a game. Everyone shares in the willful delusion that if the batter swings at the ball and hits it far enough, he gets points for his team. Dungeons and Dragons is a game. Rock Paper Scissors is a game. Role PLAYING is a game, it's in the goddamn name for fucks sake.
>it is not something accepted on Veeky Forums I can point to numerous boards where roleplaying happens on a consistent basis, and they can be as nuanced as quests or as simple and stupid as shitposting threads like >Gee user, how come you don't have a gf yet?
>and has never been something the thread has ever collectively been able to behind This thread has so many anons with so many drastically different opinions that there is not a single damn topic the thread has ever collectively gotten behind, with the exception maybe of hatred of other things.
>there is something that sets it apart from all the other forms of creative interaction we participate in here The only differences are in how anons react to them, and accept some but not others.
>Just because we do one thing doesn't mean we should do everything. I'm not saying we should do everything. But if you're already eating eggs, there's no conceivable reason you should hate it when it's scrambled instead of an omelette.
Evan Richardson
