My go-to weapons were Man-serpent Greatsword with 27 STR always two handed for max VIT gouge, and elemental Uchi for max VIT gouge (going to the undead blacksmith ASAP).

They consume very little stamina and do too much damage. How is that not OP?

WHY.

They do, but you need to invest. If you're at 50 faith, and 40 dex with Darkmoon Blade you can melt people. But elemental weapons, and 27 STR builds that VIT gouge are good early on when you don't have as many points to throw around.

Dragonslayer GS is a STR weapon with some lightning damage
