Bringing back this stupid crown was one of the dumber things memezaki did for this game. DS2 was perfectly fine without it. There was no reason to implement the magic damage rings either, especially not two of them plus the clutch rings.

If it helps at all, I too love the mace with a passion. This is just the first time in the whole game's existence that Great Mace is actually viable and I've wanted to use it for the longest time, also I love perseverance though. I mean along the lines of what you said, what do you do if someone perseverances? You get the fuck away until it's over. Which makes it extremely good to get people off your ass, and with an offhand simple caestus you can basically perseverance forever. This, on top of the poise being way better than a normal hammer.

I'd say get the minimum strength for the Crucifix of the Mad King imo, at 60 faith the Dark Blade buff is batshit crazy on it. Use Yorkshas for that and Canvas for other miracles.

not that guy but i've heard a lot about the problems of too many spears, not enough hosts. i like the fight and want to help. should i do it alone? with 1 phantom? with X phantoms? you get buffs so what is the best way to do the fight to make it fun?

DSA went up like 10ish physical, no change to lightning.

I recall that in 3 out of 4 and maybe even 4 out of 5 invasion I ran up to a team of at least three people. But now I overwhelmingly encounter 1 or 2 people (roughly 70% of total invasions).

I encounter a lot more than before, especially in the DLC, the host will just keep summoning as soon as I appear and nowhere near to stop them.

Bleed doesnt scale with anything but its pretty big build up. Too slow to hit people really, but its great against bosses. The dark damage scales with things that can cast miracles and do dark damage well, like the Sunless Talisman.
Can I play a *Wizard* though? Is Souls magic good?
