Today I test drove a WRX, FoST, GTI SE all 2017s

For me, its the FoST and its not even close .

WRX- great acceleration and torque but stiff as Viagra dick and loud as fuck. If you're getting that as a DD than there's a lot of truth to the stereotype

GTI- total cuck sedan. literally can't hear a thing when you turn the car on or accelerate and the interior is this gay ass plaid stitching unless you get literally the highest trim you can get leather. Good handling but acceleration was lacking

FoST- fully loaded sticker was 30k which was 1k less than the GTI I drove and was sooo much more car. had a big Nav screen the entire thing was push button speak commands. Smooth as hell shifts, really fast acting turbo overall best in every aspect out of all three other than the pure acceleration of the rex

Love my FiST, enjoy your new car

I haven't driven a GTI, but I didn't like the 2.5L Golf I drove. Felt super numb to drive, even if it was "nice." Zero feedback, like playing a video game with no FFB.

Wrx is better performance value, Focus is better commuter. It's quite simple OP

this sums up my point tho. Literally who is taking their DD to the track? If you're buying you car cause its a better performance value to speed on the highway then the racerboy meme is very fitting to a wrx.

If a highway commuter was what you needed just buy a civic, you obviously want to go with a boyracer car since the three you mentioned are indeed boyracermobiles

Thanks, now back to your blog

I've always leaned to the impractical side because DD racecar. Some of us are just like that. I had a brand new speed 3 in 07 I immediately ruined cause racecar. Then you think well if I could do it again id just go turbo back exhaust and intake but you know when you get that taste of performance you can't stop modding. It's just fun. You may find yourself in the same situation before you know it. It's just too easy on factory turbo cars.

>I just want a commuter car
>but I want a WRX, GTI, or FoST

kill yourself

Notice the thinly veiled shill thread, no real person would say voice commands are a selling point.

To be fair, sync 3 is pretty nice, but I agree that it's not a selling point

I could push a button and say Navigate to .... or literally anything you get to on the touch screen you just push a button and say it

The other two didn't even have a navigation system, how is that not a selling point?

Sync3 is better than any infotainment I've used, mainly because it's quick and simple instead of information overload. That said, the voice stuff sucks and I can never trust it to do anything I want it to.

Nigger, I know how it works, I have an st.
I'm saying it's not really a selling point when you can just buy a gps unit for cheaper than the nav package.
I'm convinced voice commands are just shitty across the board.

VW has had Android Auto and Apple Car Play since the 2016 models released, stop being a jew

Just because I don't go to tracks doesn't mean I like to drive like my grandpa

>who is taking their DD to the track?
i do. shit i'd even take my gf's camry to the track if i was bored and had the money to spare

enjoy boyracer

Lol op - just like how you feel like the GTI isn't "raw" enough, other people feel the same about the FoST. You want a sportier DD that's not quite as numb as a GTI, that's fine - but don't turn around and pretend like you're somehow above GTI owners when the WRX makes makes your FoST seem like a just as bad in comparison.

op's post opens up a discussion where we talk about these cars and discuss our opinions.

>Literally who is taking their DD to the track?
You don't?
Place somewhat near me is 20 bucks per session to drive, 10 to ride/pit pass, 5 to spectate. Each session is an hour long just doing timed laps. They run from 6pm to 10pm every 2nd and 4th Saturday.
They have a drift day once a month too but I've yet to go because muh fastwheeldrive.

I like the visibility/space and better resale and AWD of the WRX

>plaid stitching unless you get literally the highest trim you can get leather
leather is shit though

Surprised you didn't drive a golf R for the hell of it tho.

>wants performance car
>prefers car because its a better dd
Should've bought a camry if you like boring shitboxes like the st
Also fuck off shill

>twingo plush

SHILL

Twingo a cute

t. poorfag who couldn't afford WRX

>fwd

"Wwaaahh I want a fast car but the fast one is too loud on my ears and the suspension hurts my bottom" - You just now
Stop it

actually he's also making the point that it needs to be a DD. And apparently he's thinking that in a year or so, he still WANTS to hear his engine while DDing.
I think the fact that he's justifying the 'middle' choice between fast and comfy is hilarious.
We all know he's going to be sorry he didn't make a choice. fastest or comfy.

>leather
>nav
>vroom noise
>comfy
>quick enough
>distinctive styling
>reliability
>muh warranty
>20k

How is the Veloster not the best DD?
Have fun spending an addtl 10k on one second and poorer reliability.

Test drove a FoST, that fucking sound turned me off. 2,000 rpm and suddenly "dddddduuuuurrrrr"

I just hate how it looks.

I like the Veloster for that stupid door layout
Makes me happy manufacturers will still do silly things

>unironically recommending gook trash
>not realizing the veloster is inferior to literally every other hatchback in america
>thinking hyundai makes """"""""reliable"""""""" cars

low quality b8

>mfw my face triggers autism

>creating an identity on an anonymous imageboard

Do you think your posts are that important? Do you not realize that you are a faggot?

The infotainment system of the VW if it was truly fully loaded is 20 times better than Sync3

Good for you. But the central dashboard is horrendous. Maybe I'm just getting too old for this shit.

>no gloss
>no shiny chrome-painted plastic
>logical controls
>no obvious panel gaps

I mean, its miles better than any Ford interior just by not being American. The VW interior is class-leading however.

Shill all you want. It's still a fucking focus.

I know a guy who has a Veloster. Hyundai uses the same master cylinder for the brakes and transmission. His started to go and his transmission started slipping and brakes went out on the same day.

2017 wrx sti > everything.
