Seriously man. Bethesda outsources to a company that doesn't have nearly enough money to pull off a good card game. Then wonders why it won't take off. Direwolf is a small team that's busy with other card games, non of them successful. No wonder they can't hire good artists. One of them was even caught stealing a frame from a movie and simply painting general tullius over it.

With CDPR you can actually see that they put effort into it.

NR has so many cards that have active effects that win them the game if not locked or killed, there is not enough removal in a normal deck

You get of the card you don't want and get another card with the same border color that is or was in your current game. You can get even tokens like lumberkin if it was played at some point and you johnny away a silver card.

Dandelion wasn't used until this meta. He wasn't very popular.

Not even mad though, got my tempo and got rid of enemy swipe in one turn.

I made a meme deck for casual built around insane tempo. Once I managed to play

>turn 2: Dandelion - 7 strength
>turn 3: Temerian footsoldiers - 20 strength
>turn 3: Phillipa Eilhart + Alzur's Double Cross + Witchers - 32 strength

70 strength in 4 turns. GGs all around.

last thing i remember that was kinda funny was pulling about 40 strength with a single vicovaro

Because the last metas were entirely about playing PFI and other tokens which he didn't buff. As soon as Trebs got made useable again along with Kaedwen siege expert he's used again because wow, turns out giving all your units +2 is really good.

Same reason Triss: Butterfly is used now and not before.

NR: Shani, Triss: Butterfly Spell, Bloody Baron, Phillipa Eilhart, Vernon Roche. Rest are bad.

ST: Aglais, Saskia, Milva, Isengrim, Iorveth, Schirru. Rest are bad

NG: Cahir, Vilgefortz, Xarthisius, Stefan Skellen, Letho. Rest are bad.

SK: Coral, Birna, Wild Boar of the Sea, Ermion. Rest are bad.

MN: Caretaker, Avallach, Kayran, Caranthir, Woodland Spirit, Imlerith. Rest are bad.

Neutrals: Yennefer, Yennefer: The Conjurer, Geralt: Igni, Geralt: Aard, Ciri, Villentretenmerth. Rest are bad.

D: Eredin, Emhyr

Emhyr and Francesca suck

Eredin is outclassed by Dagon in nearly every scenario until they figure out what to do with weather

Radovid isn't going to benefit much from locking 3 units when his opponent can see it a mile away

Some leaders like are forever stuck with one type of deck so its not so much the leader but the deck that decides how strong they are

Stennis pulling igni was the only way I won this.

I train with my Nilfgaardian longsword every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is forged in the city of Nilfgaard, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on the continent. I earned my sword license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.

I speak Elder Speech fluently, both Nilfgaardian and the Skellige dialect, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about Nilfgaardian history and their code of warfare, which I follow 100%

When I get my Nilfgaardian visa, I am moving to the city of Nilfgaard to attend a prestigious Imperial Palace to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become a great leader for the entire Nilfgaardian empire or the whole continent!

I own several suits of black armour, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to Nilfgaard, so I can fit in easier. I bow to my elders and seniors and speak Elder Speech as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.

Ekkimaras only get the current strength of the unit they chow down on so eating weathered units is only going to get a +1 strength bonus. Not worth it, eat things before using weather.

Unless you get the ideal starting hand and your deck in in a very good order, not well. Scorch bounce and ambush buff bullshit is too much for anything to overcome reliably.

Now you rely in golds and 2 medics to win the game while the opponent probably has his whole strategy to develop and will crush you in the third round.

Oh well, you aren't going to read this anyway, but Henselt is good against ST. Even after the nerf he is a great leader. In the current meta he works wonders against ST since you can relatively quickly make yourbentire board scorch-proof. He also directly counters spy decks ( You just promote the spies and thus make Jan Calveit/ Treason lose value ) and Harald axemen (can't lose strength if all your units are gold). Also works against foltest trebuchet spam, for the same reason. It's a great anti-meta tool, there's a great Henselt deck on gwentdb that just got me to rank 15 a few days ago.

Shani, Nenneke, Priscilla and Stennis are the must-haves.

After that, Bloody baron, Triss: Butt and Phillipa are also good cards. Dandelion and Margarita for specific decks.

Stennis is included in the both NR meta decks. Don't know why you don't see him anymore. Some Henselt players don't use him, but both the swim's foltest swarm and the Henselt top 5 decks use him.

Spies are always good.

So I'm thinking of about making a fun deck for casual built around underused cards. Faction will be NR, since I have most of the NR collection. What are some cards I could play around with? Currently thinking about stuff like

Dudu
Trollolo

Any other ideas?
