Dude bit on the offer to trade for his '77 280z with 77k.. is it too good to be true? And if it's not, am I crazy for trading my reliable DD for a 40 year old carb'd i6? Going to look at it after work

As someone who owned a '78 280Z, I can say that car had driven me insane, wishing I had picked up something more reliable. It was still a fun car though, so this decision you'll have to make on your own.
After 1.5 years I ended up selling it and picking up a 1.5k Civic, which I've since installed a few simple mods on.

True but impractical is subjective, I've been DDing Miatas for 4 years. Owned a couple trucks between them and that's fun too, I just feel like this type of deal won't happen again. But I know it's pretty retarded.

That it runs. Really all there is to it. Everything else is so cheap to replace. For the D series, pull the spark plug leads and check them for motor oil. If there is oil around down there, check another car or jew him down a lot.
