Why shouldn't it?

They didn't know what else to fill it with, and making it hollow is bad for aero

...

tell me that looks good. TELL ME

...

i think that looks great
now do the ass

It looks good. It complements the aggressive look well.

That spot should've been metal but filled with a row of fog lights or one big fog light.

...

This.

Either that or a smooth section of the bumper.

Anything but fake, 'all style and no substance' crap.

It looks like john mccain's fucked up cheek

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I hate how much stupid little ricey shit they put on new cars now

So hawt!

why not just put a real vent?

what would the skull look like? the anatomy of him boggles my mind

this whole car is factory rice

It's the norm in modern cars. Not just the Civic.

Someone with photoshop smooth it out please

that would increase drag and whatnot

Fake textured surface increases drag rather than a smooth painted surface if you want to get this technical :^)

I hate the body but that K20C1 makes up for it

fake and gay

Whole car screams ching chong desu robots in disguise mode.

Why can't japs into aesthetic design anymore?

...

Unironically good.

How about giant fuckoff fogs like an old Evo?

hnnnnnnnnnnnggggggg

Someone please start selling covers for that ugly shit.

better

Yes please. They should've just put fuck huge fog lights on. Both front and rear.

Why didn't they use it for a natural cooling system?

because unlike a corvette the Honda Civic Type-R doesn't need it

Design was made by a 4 year old scottish-japanese transnigger. What did you expect?

The back, maybe?

I like to think that they put all that plastic shit there to make the car easier to modify since Honda drivers like to modify their cars

Yea because they totally just wanna void their warranty right?

People are already tuning their regular Civic turbos to over 300hp

>people are already voiding their warranties

>tuning regular civics to over 300

yea right, 190hp 1.5l with a turbo to suddenly over 300 ?

An ECU flash brings it to like 240bhp, some chinks changed the impeller and got like 320bhp

sauce
civicx.com/threads/a-turbo-upgrade-has-come-out-in-china-over-300-hp-with-other-mods.11746/

I'm assuming those plastic vents are incredibly easy to remove and put back. Not unlike the foglights in my 8th gen Si that require the whole front bumper to be removed OR to raise the car and remove the bottom cover to get up in there

302*

>They also upgraded the air intake, the whole exhaust system, and ecu of course, to achieve the result of 300 hp gain. The poster stated that they were able to push it to 320 hp after a custom tune.

They did a lot more than just change the impeller

perfect

bruh

Intake and exhaust is a fuck load easier than changing the impeller. If you can do the latter you can and should do the former

>implying you don't do the intake and exhaust before messing with the turbo
I bet you'd put racing slicks on steelies made out of pig iron

>thinking the new accord isn't still going to shit all over it

The Accord is a commuter car for the every day family man, not a boy racer machine

Fucking hell, I thought I was in the camry thread

The Honda design team included it specifically to give bus riders on a Bhutanese bee-keeping forum something to whinge about.

>filename

>itt Honda design team btfo

what anime is this from

Totally realistic with modern turbo engines. Honda engines have always been stupid tough.

I dunno about the Civic, but one tuning company (Deadhook Motorsports) got over 400WHP out of the Fiesta ST's little 1.6L without touching internals, before a piston cracked.

damn that looks nice

feel like that plastic is cheaper and lighter than just having the metal body cover those areas, no?
besides, people who live in real cities who actually buy these cars get hit all the fucking time.
it's just a good business model to make replacement parts cheaper if the car is only a shitbox anyways..

>we should outlaw what I dont like

>allowed
Don't buy one if you don't like it. The market determines the things.

>Don't buy one if you don't like it.
It's sad, I really would buy a Type R if Honda didn't have to go and ruin it.

It's objectively the best Type R ever

Well, they did so with the LFA IMO.

Shit. I'm trying to think of another car but I quite literally have none coming to my mind.

>Rear fog lights.

WAT

...

Hooooo shitttttt

V-TAK!?

Good for tailgaters at night.

>Gets re-baged as an Acura Integra Type R
How you would feel?

No more VTEC

...

>Uneducated retards doesn't know that a car have fog lights in the rear as well.

I hated the 2-step interiors in the 8th/9th gen Civics. This is super nice though.

You know what my least favorite part about the new Type R is?

>245/30R20
>20 inch rims on a Civic
>30 fucking sidewall

Just fuck my ride quality up senpai

In America they don't. I'm pretty sure it's a law in European countries tho.

>tfw forgot to pay for my rear fog light windshield wiper license
>arrested by bong cop with plastic handcuffs

You can buy German cars in America with rear fog lights, most of them are sold with them standard

How much would that cost to get some sort of custom shop to do?

Also, move the type-R logo to there

Whats he hiding in there?

I think he has bruxism, grinds his teeth in his sleep

Over time this gives a serious workout to the muscles that control your jaw and they get swole
Downside is that you'll be visiting your dentist quite a bit

>bumper
>metal
Have you ever seen a car that's not older than 30 years?
All cars have bumpers entirely made of plastic. Having multiple piece design for a bumper just makes it harder to drift stitch yourself and more expensive to replace multiple broken pieces if you crash. It also looks fucking ugly.

The type R still has VTEC. All the other 10th gen Civics that use the turbo engine don't.
