Which Ascension Perks do you consider as good/bad choices? Which ones should one take first?
Brandon Ward
Did they fucking lobotomise the Sector AI in Utopia? Why the fuck does it split all of its minerals across multiple objectives so it does none of them? WHY OF ALL THE ACTIONS DOES IT BUILD A GRID THERE!?!?!?
Asher Robinson
Retarded AI that cheats and is rigged to be a pest.
Brody Long
MOOOOOOOT!!!
Thomas Reyes
Are there Hivemind primitives? Does the AI spawn?
Tyler Phillips
Can I buy the base game and pirate the dlc?
Parker Lee
Uh? That was weird. Why did it show a different picture? It was an official screenshot from Paradox's forums.
Lincoln Powell
Dont expect to finish your first few games due to not knowing what your doing and slowly understand how to play over time. get used to going from FULL SPEED to pausing.
Owen Flores
What the fuck, dude?
Jacob Miller
guided missiles in civ 6 when?
Christopher Mitchell
Make up your mind!
Oliver Ward
I just want to know if I should buy the base game and pirate the dlc of Stellaris
Jace Collins
>Start collecting an army of vassals >AIs declare war on me because their fleet size is much larger than me >The fucking goon swarm shows up and shits on them >Open the diplomacy menu every once in a while to see shit like "How may I serve you master?"
You purge guys are doing it wrong
Ayden Gomez
stellaris sector ai has always been the worst ai in vidya history bru
Hunter Sanders
>psionic ascension
What the fuck were they smoking when they created that. Not like spiritual civs weren't strong enough already or anything. Is there literally any reason (roleplaying doesn't count) to pick synthetic ascension over this? It gives you nothing of value whatsoever that psionics doesn't give you already, and makes half the galaxy hate your guts to boot.
James Richardson
Why aren't you fags in GSG?
Jayden Phillips
Robots > Space elves
Josiah Hill
Can non-spiritualist empire still get the psionic tech?
Isaiah Clark
>Open the diplomacy menu every once in a while to see shit like "How may I serve you master?" You're evil. I love you.
Go ask /gsg/, faggot.
Henry Brooks
bio ascension is the best
Jackson Ramirez
Why not just do both? why go half way with either option?
Tyler Peterson
what does that do, anyway
Dylan Flores
I want the mods from the workshop
Xavier Barnes
THE END OF THE CYCLE
Gavin Williams
Is it really that powerful though? The first ascension perk only gets some leaders the psionic ability trait and you need the second one to get it for every leader. With gene modding you can mod your entire species for better traits much earlier and that'll give you benefits for the entire empire, not just leaders.
Christian Wood
I know it is not the focus, but what tweaks did they do to combat?
Joseph Ramirez
>missed the pic FUCK.
Jonathan Ortiz
I have Respect Tile Recource turned on so WHY ARE THEY PUTTING POWER ON SCIENCE!?
Ethan Roberts
>decided to try out pacifists >chose hyperlane travel What the fuck was I thinking?
Tyler Roberts
It's very easy to get the second ascension perk relatively quickly, and having your entire population be psionic in addition to the perks spiritual empires already get.
The biggest fuck you, really, is the The Shroud. The bonuses that thing gives you are ludicrous.
Bio-Ascension might be as strong or stronger, I wouldn't know since I haven't played them yet, but synthetic ascension belongs in the fucking trash bin in comparison.
Leo Richardson
Is there a single conceiveable benifit to picking hyperlanes? why would you destroy your movement like that?
Well. This is an interesting start. Guess my colony ship didn't get that far from Sol afterall. Going to backup this save just in case.
Camden Perez
Wouldnt you be able to drop all your farms and become more efficent? Does the game recognise them and make it impossible for others to have them set to livestock and most purge options?
Julian Ortiz
The Shroud can fuck with you almost as often as it gives useful shit. Without zro to cut down on the costs it eats up stupid amounts of energy for inconsistent results. Gene modding is actually dependable in comparison, but yeah, syntethic seems really underwhelming.
Juan Turner
Whats the problem hyperfriend?
Gavin White
means you won't have to wait until you kill them
Jacob Phillips
Some people play games for fun. Others want to relax.
OTHER JUST WANT GAME TO FUCK THEM IN THE ASS WITH A DILDO UNTIL THEY LOVE IT AND BEG FOR MORE
Jose Wood
My current build is a reclusive celestial empire that vassalizes everyone to do my fighting while I hide in my corner of the galaxy ascending the physical plane.
Logan Foster
Governors are useless now
>reduces unrest >reduces clear blocker cost and time >both near inconsequential
WHAT ARE THOSE SWEDES DOING????
Nicholas Ross
Can you even win if you go hyperlanes and have others have random? how can they even keep up with ther fucking baby steps?
Jason Jenkins
Psion focuses on improving your leaders. It can turn on either weak or really powerful. It depends on luck, risks and dangers. The will of the Shroud decides.
Cyborg focus on improving your pops. It's steady and easy to follow, if a bit boring. That said, turning yourself into full synths may not be the best (you build pops instead of letting them grow naturally).
Genetics can focus on either.
Daniel Bailey
Fuck yeah \m/
Colton King
Do Hivemind empires spawn naturally?
William Gonzalez
Militant isolationists right next door.
Christian Ward
Hyperlanes is faster. If you don't go all hyper lanes it just forces you into a defensive play style occasionally
Noah Cox
Yes, one started right next to me, I was going to treat them nicely but they closed borders so I wiped them out early
Juan Morales
no
Jace Rogers
stellaris should have it's own general no1 even talks about the other games here
Oliver Martinez
What does the Food Stockpilling policy do?
Oliver Ross
I rant about AoE2, Rise of Nations and Supreme Commander once in a while, but I reckong an illiterate retard can't figure.
Nolan Evans
Does it annoy anyone else that there are so many science officers you will have/want in every game?
You need 3 to start off with for all the research branches, then you'll want one on each science ship.
Governers you'll only have a few of I imagine, only need a few for the core worlds/sectors you are managing.
Then one or two admirals for your death fleets.
>Generals
Naturally this unbalance makes me think it's kind of weird. I sort of wish that science ships either didn't have officers (though that would ruin the anomaly game) or make all research have one primary director. This might actually be more interesting because then you'd actually have to choose if you want to specialize in physics, sociology, or engineering by picking your science officer instead of just picking the appropriate one for each slot and putting them in.
Jackson Sullivan
We talk about civ as well but stellaris just got an expansion so it's hot shit right now
Elijah Stewart
I split my fleet into three and run three admirals.
Wyatt Cooper
That would incentivize fleeting species so they can diversify their science instead of getting pigeonholed to death.
Ethan Moore
>stellaris >balance
Anthony Butler
>stellaris should have it's own general
and what do you think will happen to this general once Utopia hype dies down?
Ryder Stewart
>#fake_space_news This is a new one, triggered because the first xeno finding was also the first ancient empire discovery.
Bentley Foster
While we're at it change the way governors are appointed to be based on your government type. Democracies elect them, oligarchies are selected by the few in power who you can attempt to influence. Dictatorships appoint them as it is currently.
Isaac Turner
I really don't understand sectors, how many of them should I have for mid to late game? I only have 5 sectors but I'm nowhere near my sector limit and I can barely staff my current sectors with a governor at all times.
Henry Price
Aside from that a non stellaris 4x general would flat out die.
Jonathan Martin
Are there any mods or overhauls that make Stellaris less like 4X and more like EU4 style grand strategy?
Sebastian Williams
Is the cyborg decision just a one off thing? I want to spread my gift to the galaxy.
Easton Wilson
Yeah. Paradox is working on it, only 19.99£ my dear customer.
Or just mod CK2.
Daniel Reyes
Thats the hivemind route senpai.
Gavin Watson
Genetics path really is the best. I can easily make specialised planets with modified species for near 100% happiness regardless of factions like this. Each variation, tailored to a specific planet or habitat. Who needs synthetics when I can create a superior biological being?
Samuel Nguyen
Wait for a C# Aurora, this thread will live again.
William Hughes
not him but is there ANY reason to pick smaller stockpiles?
Camden Sanchez
Faster pop grow.
William Sanders
In the stream they said it caused faster pop growth but I can't see any modifiers on the pops
Daniel Nelson
Oh come on.
Wyatt Bennett
I just started a game with the Commonwealth of Man. 14 out of 18 of my leaders (including ones in each of the recruitment pools) and ALL of my starting leaders were women. What in the actual fuck. Paradox realizes women don't actually play this game, right?
Kevin Bailey
>droids still grow at 1 per month pls fix
Wyatt Stewart
You some kind of homo?
Daniel Sullivan
>Station under attack. Naturally my mines are now being attacked by space ameoba.
Anthony Gomez
what the fuck. There's even an energy tile.
Christian Sanders
>boxed in by three federation builders who are circlejerking each other as an authoritarian xenophobe faction
epix
also you guys are really fucking bad at making new threads, aren't you
just make one at bump limit if you don't know what you're doing god damn
Lucas Jones
Paradox implies the neofeminist movement eradicates men over the next 200 years
Angel Rogers
>He doesnt imagine his female scientsits/Admirals being captured and raped by the enemy when they die
Ethan Williams
>pirates with a Cruiser are blocking off an entire arm of the galaxy, completely boxing me in and keeping me from expanding
thanks for telling me to play hyperlane only, /civ4xg/....
Oliver Torres
You know you can jump right by them assuming they aren't sitting right on the jump in point.
Ethan Bennett
Guess you can try out tall then
Jace Moore
It makes things more interesting. Now you need to end those pirates or expand into another empire
Matthew Torres
I just hope they havent completely rebuilt their fleet next time I go in, I killed everything except the cruiser
Gavin Murphy
pls respond
Dominic Price
Good. Fleeting and short lived species have an easy trade off for having 5 start scientists for less time then other species.
Jonathan Sullivan
Objectively; forced hyperlanes only is the best way to play stellaris
Adds a layer of tactics to the game that the other options dont give.
Luis Flores
>Construction complete! >Planet X has finished its building queue. >I have to open the planet and scan the surface to remind myself of what exactly I just finished building
Every god damn time. No wonder they felt the need to add the Sectors system.
Nice FUCKING game
Leo Jones
That's what everyone here do. Except me because I'm not a filthy poorfag. I just hate Stellaris and don't give it my shekels.
Asher White
>Play wormholes >Shit im boxed in >Literally just jump to the next arm of the galaxy
You arent wrong.
Eli Cook
Is there a mod that allows for only male leaders?
Hudson Scott
Oh, thanks.
Cooper Watson
Not with Stellaris. I bought base CK2 and EU4, but Stellaris came out after I woke up to ((((them)))).
Also if those fucking russians can trick Steam into thinking I own 400 dollars worth of CK2 DLC, they can probably sneak my way into the Stellaris mod workshop too.
Daniel Ramirez
How do I force these unhappy alien fucks to change away from theif faggoty faction? I didnt conquer them to hear them complain about being more xenophobic and egalitarian. Why the fuck can they do pop ethics right?
Noah Foster
It does require to : 1) find where to get them, it's some weird russian website, so scan the files right 2) move your folders around 3) edit your text files
>I bought base CK2 and EU4 And I bought them with all DLCs and I had a blast. An anal one with CK2 and I'm still sore, and a nice one with Eu4.
The disappointment when I played Stellaris and, upon learning later that they changed it even more only ruined all confidence I had in Paradox. And that was before I learned about the human phenotype scandal or the rigged ethics.
Noah Smith
Enslave them, purge them or liberate and integrate them
Benjamin Scott
is there a way to expanding? max out as fast as possible?
