What did the OP mean by this?

He is reassuring us that he is not just conscious, but self-conscious, something we might question otherwise seeing how inane his OP is

You have shit taste op

Was Baldwin IV that cool in real life?

Saladin = total bro

Everything

Liam Neeson and his band of men crusading would've been a better film.

I hate the movie.
So much current politics forced into this story it makes me puke.
The genuinly went with the "the crusades was western imperialism. and all white europeans wanted to slaughter muslims".
While the muslims were shown as being moral and superiour.

They build what could be a magnificent historic story line around a few cheap political points.
And the characters are all flat and boring.

0/10.
Better "historic" movies: Last Samurai and Master and Commander.

>actually decide to watch it

kek ok

did you watch the director's cut

the theater cut sucks ass but the director's cut is god-tier

>the theater cut sucks ass but the director's cut is god-tier

>directors cut meme

it adds a few scene, yes great.
Movie has beautiful scenes, costumes, CGI... so much potential.

But that does not change the fact that "whitey" crusaders are portrayed as evil racist colonialists. I don't mind having a christian bad guy, it doesnt have to demonize the muslims.
But this was just bad..
Oh and Balian was badly written and Orlando Bloom is a horrible actor.
Just imagine Kingdom of Heaven made with the depth of Letters from Iwo Jima...

Well to each his own. Personally I didn't see the crusaders as entirely the "evil racist colonialists" as seen in the movie. Colonialists? In a sense, but they had not gone to Jerusalem to conquer and pillage (even though yes, historically that is what happened), but based on what I can remember it was mostly an issue with whether or not Jerusalem is worth it for religious costs, supported by Balian's exchange with Saladin and the resulting "Nothing. Everything." really moreso about the cost of idealistic goals versus the deaths of many, evident by the ending.

I like Orlando Bloom desu, Pirates was
fun
>oh and Balian was badly written
The problem with him in the movie is that the whole origin story (with him being a bastard raised as a peasant who'd only just arrived in the Holy Land) was a complete fabrication.

The historical Balian was basically like Liam Neeson's character.
