For a lot of the characters that appeared in KR they just used the KR birthdate unless it was stated to have changed (like Sheila).

Basically its the latest in the Dai series yes, but it had problems like being overhyped yet weaker in gameplay

Advertisements boasted about one of the biggest amounts of text in an Alicesoft game, pretty characters and all that, but gameplay was worse than the previous two, and most of the text were filler

Narika was good in her kichiku routes in my opinion. Or maybe I just like breaking the tsun out of tsunderes.

Haruka was bland overall, I agree. Except in one of Narika's kichiku endings when she becomes completely vengeful; that was pretty cool.

I think blue will be better by default if they give her a haughty personality rather than a subservient bodyguard personality, but we'll see.

I'll try a fix that prevents a battle CG from changing if there isn't a second version. Should be easy.

With the mod, I assume since you are changing the sprites and code in general, it will have to be installed on a different copy of SR if you don't want to lose your original progress.

Also, will the mod's functionality be affected by current progress in SR or won't it matter. (Guessing the latter)

I haven't tested it thoroughly, but you should be able to revert. You just have to rename one of the assets files to Rance7GA an delete the new asset files, and then replace the modified ain file with the original and it should work. I wouldn't trust it though.
FFA doesn't, or at least shouldn't, depend on your progress. I took out the check for the clear game flag so you can play it without completing the main game first, of course.

I don't remember if 03 explains it, but Alicesoft did answer previously on a Tomino-memo. The Leazas castle stands at where the demon king castle from Gele era was at. Noce being a loyal Gele follower knew about a secret passageway (likely magic / teleport) that would take them directly to the castle.

Which also explains the constant monster issues the castle suffers from

I'm curious. How much Rance has the average hanny played? Personally I've beat I and 02, I've played SR to death, and I'm currently working through III. What about everyone else?

In terms of the thread most people who can read Japanese have played every game + some other Alicesoft games while most of the English only posters have done all the translated games + the other translated Alicesoft ones.

On average, I would say VI - SR, maybe I -- II digest, and 3/4 hanny have played KR

I just wanted to say that I'm having a blast playing Rance VI. It's simple, mindless and I like it; I've been having problems playing AAA games for more than 2-3 hours before getting bored, and this is a great change.

I use the list as a way to save the RWN character info, but like to populate it with all kind of characters already like in pic. But I haven't touched it in a long time and didn't properly update it after 03.

I played Little Princess on stream late last year and then Rance I to IV.

Might pick up from there with 4.1 and 4.2 all the way to Sengoku and then maybe the non canon route and KR.

For Rance: For other Alicesoft games I completed Daiteikoku, Blade Briders, Evenicle, Little Princess.

Played but didn't finish: Daibanchou, Escalayer Reboot.

Kaeru nyo Panyon is not that bad and I do love that kinda TRPG thing.

Helps that I managed to get a good number of correct maps the first playthrough, so it was easy to tell the right path.

No. Rathowm takes the soul if you are a devil worshipper and you die.

100% soul pollution takes you out of the system but there is an inbuilt safeguard which sparks suicidal impulses if someone starts approaching that.

She's really strong and talented too.

Someone who reached 100% soul pollution become real immortals, like Keikoku. As in, there is no way to kill them, only seal. Most become like mindless zombies or become mad. Only those with a very strong willpower are able to still keep their mind.

Does that make her a glitch?

She's actively an enemy of the gods and a pope who went rogue so she's not high on the list of favorites anyway.

Keikoku is completely different. She's just cursed.

Keikoku was cursed by a Yokai. She's another thing entirely.
