He becomes a mob enemy in a few places in SotFS. And logistically, he's always been a mini-boss in his "boss" encounters" so demoting him from mini-boss would logically turn him into a regular mob.

I can only remember seeing them in Heide's, Dranleic castle, at Velstadt and Shrine of Amana. They're bosses in Heide's and Castle, it doesn't respawn in Amana. Unless it respawns at Velstadt, it's a miniboss.

Strap that bad boy onto a Tower Shield buffed with Strong Magic Shield and Lingering Dragoncrest +2, and you ignore literally all damage, with minimal stamina cost. It's enough to make 2doors cry.

Flame banana is good, you dink. L1s have true combos with pyromancies. You can secure a Black Flame after you L1 somebody once. Shit's crazy. Anyway, get the pyromancy and ask somebody to drop a banana for you.

What is expected of FC hosts?

I have a crippling fear of social interaction, even through videogames. Whenever i get invaded i start sweating and my heart starts racing.

Do i need to join in on the fighting at some point? Or do i just summon people and they take care of the rest? Do i act as a referee and start the match with a sign of some sort?

I imagine i'll need a boss that is alive for enough summons, and maybe Warmth for heals?

Nah you dont fight until youre ending the FC, then you get to fight the last man standing.
People will fight when they get a partner, they know what to do.
Boss needs to be alive to summon 4, Warmth is useful but not needed. Nobody really lives long enough to run out of estus.

Seething is great for PvE, Demon's Scar is high-tier in PvP since R1s combo into Black Flame. If you want you can always get Seething now and trade Scar with someone or CE it in.

You don't need to join in fighting unless you're about to end the fights. Just state where you're hosting and the password and summon people in a convenient area for them to get to. People usually deal with the rest themselves. Warmth is nice to have but not necessary.

You summon people, they fight each other. Should they run out of opponents and you left with no one to summon then they either leave or you fight the last battle. You can referee shit but most people don't care. If someone tries to kill you it's okay to stop them.

Bring warmth if you got it and a few blueberry flasks. Pick a nice location with easy access, close to a bonfire. Mark an area for non-fighters, prism stones help

If you die you need to resummon all those people.
You can act as matchmaker if you so wish but don't be too bossy, people are there to have fun. Cheer for the winners if you will, point down on the losers.

What makes seething great for pve, or greater than great chaos fireball?

Were there people who genuinely didn't see it coming? Rafter silver knights and all? The whole building and rotating stairway visible from Pontiff are and onwards?

Seething has low FP cost for the damage it does and only costs 1 attunement slot compared to GCFO. You have to think a little on when to fire to make sure it lands but the damage to FP ratio is better than GCFO.

It also is good in PvP for when you want to use a healing miracle right on top of it to prevent anyone from approaching you.

The FP regen on Gael's sword got doubled from 3 FP per kill to 6 FP per kill which I think makes it worthwhile.

You can do DLC, get some from Cainhurst and a couple in nightmare frontier.

Exec is neat on your back in pve, especially with weapons that have aoe WA's. It's really fun with PKCS.
