I still get shakes fighting the true first boss, Bloodborne is that type of game my man

Untricked is better
The tricked R2 are useless outside of PvE
Damage is underwhelming, but not terrible
Decent Hyperarmor, but not as amazing as Kirk's
Anyone with a braincell will never get hit by it in PvP because the sounds give off the time to dodge
Can't be buffed because fuck you that's why
Sounds are really cool
Doesn't clash with most fashions because of neutral colors, looks cool with everything
It's a church weapon but doesn't deal righteous damage
Scaling is decent, but it's pure STR mind you, the benefit from ARC is negligible
If you have ARC, it's a worse wheel
If you have SKL, it's a worse kirkhammer
if you have only STR, then it's a good weapon, but the pizza cutter is probably better

PvP in all the souls games are like this for me. I've invaded countless hundreds of times but every single one is still intense. I don't duel though duelling is shit.

Don't get too far ahead of yourself, son, Bloodborne's an absolutely standout game, but has some pretty fundamentally different aspects to Souls. It's mostly the combat, which is much more fast paced and visceral than Dark Souls. Souls is about learning movesets, waiting for openings, it's more about a slower strategy, whereas Bloodborne is about aggression, quick timing, being fast on your feet and making the most of your larger weapon movesets.

However, both series' (for Bloodborne is different enough thematically, stylistically and just about gameplay wise to be considered a separate series) absolutely retain the trademark From Software feeling of reward and victory for beating bosses. That's always there.

Demon's is by far the most thematically similar, too, Bloodborne is a spiritual successor in many ways.

You won't be able to get the ring before killing Rom, since you'll need a ritual material only obtainable in an area of the game after Rom. But you could do it before killing Maria.

none of the other souls games are as atmospheric is BB. Demon's is pretty spooky but already feels dated even compared to dark souls. If I was new to the series as a whole I'd play them chronologically, or at least play BB last since it is just leagues ahead of the other games.

I don't really want to say anything, but you're not necessarily locked out of anything save for being able to visit an area early. It starts the second half of the game.

some NPC interactions end and you can't go to the unseen village in it's pre-moon state. if it's your first playthrough the game don't worry about it. You really can't do any of the "quests" in this game without a guide to spoil it for you anyway. They are all convoluted and rely on a being in specific spots at specific times you would never be.

I just bought the dark souls 3 season pass and I have an awful feeling that I'm going to be terribly disappointed

Go see a specialist, user, there's people out there whose job it is to listen and to help. Chances are it's a physical problem can be corrected and balanced. Don't become a hermit whose afraid to go outside because that's what I did and it's severely limiting and dangerous and I love /bbg/ too much to see fellow hunters go down that road.

Andariel is mostly shit, which is a bummer because it's the one Miyazaki obviously had more control over.

Ringed City is also mostly shit but it adds a lot of new weapons and feels longer.

The whole game is a lukewarm 6-7/10. DLCs help, but not enough.

yeah I wasn't too impressed with the base game but I got excited again when I heard about the heavy armour buffs

Ariandel is fun but too short. Also one of the boss fights is lazy as shit. Adds a ton of new weapons tho and lets you join undead match.
TRC is about twice as long, has 3 amazing bosses and 1 questionable. Not too many more weapons and armor sets have been added, but overall give the game more longevity. All in all, Id say its worth paying 30 bucks for both of them

It bothers me that she doesn't wear a more regal headpiece, maybe a reskin of the Crown or the Crown itself. Why does she bother with the mask? Why hide her face?
She's probably turning into a Pthumerian in appearance, hiding that stretched, waxy skin, turning almost blue in its paleness.

Step 1 to creating an effective monster in any media is to remove its face, as this is what human beings use to recognize what someone or something is looking at or feeling. Can't see it, we don't like it. Notice how after he goes apeshit, Alfred loses his face and we don't see it again.

You have to actually leave and come back to the area several times before she'll accept another one. It's annoying and took me a bit to get her to accept the next one as well.

If this doesn't work, my 100% guaranteed way to trigger it is to drink the blood she gave you and basically die/reload area/go to hunters dream. I've had this same thing happen multiple playthroughs and I always have to drink at least the first blood, she gives you another one after the second brain fluid and i don't think it can stack which is causing this lame bug.

Guys, is Durability Down not actually reflected in the weapon stat screen? I know that duradown doesnt effect guns at all and guns cant break, but is it the same way for normal weapons? I've gotten my weapons to "at risk" a number of times, so I know my weapon has actual durability, so then is DuraDown on weapons just bugged in the gem fortification screen or does it not actually effect anything at all?

He is. My method is to approach from the Cathedral Ward and drop down from the ledge to stealth over and backstab him. Then I try to just get him down to about half-health so Eileen can finish him off while I give additional pokes and such

You can actually cheese him the same way you can cheese Gascoine. By the entrance, there's a group of tombstones that the NPC will always try to attack you through, instead of circling. You can keep NPCs there stuck and keep attacking them with a long range attack like the Hunter's Axe tricked L2.

Aside from using the SRRC and waiting half an hour to find a gank squad who didn't kill their bell ringer is there any way to find pvp?
Conversely, similar question for co-op.

The Nightmare Frontier and Mergo's Loft (Middle) are popular for duels, and the DLC areas are active in co-op and invasions alike, especially at ~BL100. At twink levels, you'll find plenty at the Forbidden Woods, Byrgenwerth, and Cainhurst.
You can also ask for co-op here in the general if you get sick of SRRC Defiled Hotdog/Amygdala, Lower Pthumeru shenanigans, etc.
