Eh, I just find that to be a shitty idea in general, to be honest. I get some people really like the 'unsaveable hero' types and such, but to me it's a bit ridiculous to honestly go with a suicidal Frisk, because it usually feels like people just toss the word and idea around like it's fucking nothing.

That and suggesting they through the whole game to THEN commit suicide basically, just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth

I never said it's not valid, I just said I don't like it. I don't like adding suicide to every backstory when there are other possible explanations, and I like it even less because it's rarely used well.

The only other one that i've heard is that an 8 year old traveled what looks to be miles away from the nearest town to randomly explore some huge ass mountain for fun

The former I at least sort of understand, because he likely has some issues, even with minimal headcanon.

The latter makes me sad. A lot of Papyrus fans have grown really tried of him being used as a plot device to kill off, and Sans in general just being absolutely perfect next to him, so in the past half a year or so, they went into overdrive to fix that.

Unfortunately, they're basically doing the same, just with Papyrus, angsting him up to some fucking ridiculous levels (carving his bones etc), not realizing that by piling a metric fuckton of angst, they're losing the character they loved in the first place.
