So now that the dust has settled, what's a good armor set to use for Gunlance now that I'm in G-rank?

Obvious Hallowed Jhen, you get S+1, Razor Sharp and Challenger+2
You can mix it up to remove S+1 if you run Lucent's GL.
Just don't get Artillery but eat for Bombardier.

This question still stands, wondering if anyone else has encountered weird shit like this with transferred saves.

Artillery is easy as fuck to gem in so it also depends a lot if you plan to use backhops for movility or turtling.

Hit the arm, gong/binder when it charges, dragonator when it jumps, climb on it and hit the breakable walls, keep hitting them when they're broken.
You might want to use a raw/slime weapon instead of fire depending on your weapon type.

I feel bad about using Mantis armor since everyone else uses it, but I guess it IS pretty great and it can just be transmogged

I'm kind of a shitter who doesn't use backhops properly. I turtle more than I should, and tend to block attacks (or guard point them). I'm considering Guard+2 (or even +1), but I hear it's pretty shit at the end of g-rank.

I guess it doesn't matter that much since I'm not going for perfection if I'm using gunlance anyway, but still.

Why not just take them out of the bottom screen then? Acting so superior yet you can't do something as simple as that?

I'm only like halfway into g-rank, and I'm not really a lonehunta (or, y'know, good)
I just take the knockback and use the reload into forward charge to get back in there. Or Blast Dash, if that's up. I don't have Guard+2, though, just artillery and razor sharp from high rank seltas.

The backhops don't really gain anything by stacking evasion in my experience

Just use the running stab, or move out of the way of the monster, or brave dodge everything (or use adept perfect guards, which always block).

nothing really, except still using the FU theme instead of the Dos one. I'm not complaining too much since it's on par with it but it is kind of sad seeing the theme be replaced.
The FU Desert theme is utter garbage though, should have just kept the original
