I had a god curve against aggro shadow and barely won. I went second as sword. I had veteran lancer and grimnir on turns 2/3. the rest went like this.
>turn 4 Gawain
>turn 5 Aurelia
>turn 6 Frontguard
>turn 7 enhanced Gawain
>turn 8 double 4 pp Aurelia

It literally takes some of the best wards in the game to fend off a basic unga deck that plays all their catacombs.

Shadowverse currently is a coin flip depending whatever you go first or second... You are way more likely to win for just going 1st and do nothing but face burst. You can win easily for just hitting face along the curve if you go 1st and lose if you go 2nd and the enemy gets to play along the curve.
DE was the last time the game was considered competitive and fun.
What I dont like is that SV is way too autoplay nowadays,since RoB expansion you cant really missplay since the choice so obvious. This wasnt the case with DE meta where you could beat lesser skilled players with decks like PtP, and that deck had so many plays and chance to missplay. I know that is the most extreme example but now the best top decks are all autoplay and I dont have to think at all, it feels like everything is up to matchups and draws.
Also the powercreep is absolutely insane. Remember fearsome decks that people constantly wanted to be nerfed like Elana and Dshift? Nowadays, without a single direct change, they are like 4% away from having the same winrate as discard dragon, a certified meme deck. I'm pretty sure the only reason Dshift even hangs around anymore is that it still has a big advantage against Haven in general so you have that option if you really dislike playing against Haven decks. That and the fact that Daria is suddenly a tier 3 deck apparently.
You can easily observe this powercreep in individual cards as well. Why would one ever run a healing angel over Grimnir? Or if you think that's an unfair example since healing angel is a bronze card, how about Fafnir vs Israfil? There's a lot of examples like these where a new card can be considered a straight upgrade to an old one in the vast majority of situations.
At this point the game is not much more different from Hearthstone.

Meant for RNG aside the game is now the same shit as HS. You even had Cygames going full jew by doubling the number of useless legendaries
