Yeah something that has a 1/5000 chance of happening doesn't affect you when it happens because it's going to happen again soon enough for you that the chance is actually more like 1/1000 and you totally would never be mad someone lucked out while you kill another 20000.

DPK or not, if you miss the drop it's not going to come around sooner for you. They still got the drop you were hunting for and you still most likely have to kill a bunch more.
