I felt it took things from the previous games in a nice mix and improved the gameplay. Outside of Morgana, this is my favorite cast. The social links are good but they can vary with some past games. OST is best in the series, free.

It's my favorite game in the series overall, it's gotten me into reading more about some of the political issues brought up in the game

Goro is a bad guy. He killed the people on the train, right? And Haru's dad? And the school principle? And he thought he'd killed the protagonist? And goodness knows who else.

He's a bad guy, but when you beat him and he's having his little cry on the floor, I have a distinct feeling that the characters are using the words 'truth', 'justice' and 'friendship' to try and turn him, despite him being a complete piece of shit.

Then obviously he becomes a good guy and lets you get away from shadow Goro because why not. AND THEN they're all going "NO! AKECHI KUN!!!"

The only actual complaint I have about P5 is the pacing feels kind of shitty, they spend a long time leading up to Futaba's palace and Haru joins way too late and Akechi could have been cut out completely or been a total side character.

I agree that akechi should have been more than one dungeon, as it was it was pretty easy to assume he was the traitor just because he feels so out of place compared to everyone else, also apparently they cut the shogi girl as a team member because she was too much like yukiko, kind of a shame since shes much better than yukiko in every way and maybe it could have made the akechi situation have more impact if she replaced him or something

Because the IS universe is stagnant and no longer the mainline universe. If it didn't happen in EP, it never happens in "canon." Everything that happens in P1 does still happen in the mainline universe.
