Valkyrie is a hybrid between a heavy and an assassin. That's why she gets a shield, some control and stamina attacks, and even a full-block (that requires an extra step to use), as well as dodge attacks and even a pseudo-deflect/riposte.

Every single hero in the game can flicker their zone attack. A lot of people will do this by accident. It's just more noticeable on the fast ones because it leaves you with too little time to react properly, but even Kensei can do it.

The reason this happens is because the zone attack input is two attack buttons. You hit one slightly before the other, and the game first starts doing a regular light or heavy in your current stance direction, before canceling into the zone attack if you hit the other button within the input window.

The only real way to fix this would be to move the zone attack to its own dedicated button, or to make the button combo not use two attacks but instead something like feint+light.

Can you think of another reason for two sihlouettes? The ninja are pretty clearly male/female, so there's precedent.

It's not a malfunction of code or anything, it's just an unavoidable side effect of the input requiring two attack presses. Lack of foresight is what it was.
