Bought Wargame: European Escalation for cheap.
Keep getting wrekt on the fucking tutorial mission.

the singleplayer is balanced for the original game, but they changed the balance alot for multiplayer since then lol

Must produce content.

Why do the Americans not have Wolverines, or a Jackson? They could use some better antitank.
Jayden Reed
US doctrine at the time made tank destroyer units different divisions. Hopefully they add more divisions soon, or they can kiss all this new game zeitgeist goodbye.
Elijah Roberts
Jacksons didn't arive in Europe till October '44.
Anthony Carter
Anyone have any translations for the German lines?
Robert Parker
I think that the American infantry divisions will have M10s and maybe M18s.

I made the heliborne infantry myself by editing the data file. As for actual heliborne operations, I think that's a feature planned for Southern Storm
support the game

So what is the better scottish early arty?
The mobile arty they get in A is complete trash and has no range, are the mortar teams better?
priests are dank for C stack and the 25 doesnt have the best mobility.
Thoughts in scott arty?

Colton Anderson
don't go and wehrmacht a big deal out of this
but you're a bit of a panz-y
Nicholas Adams
The 2 inch carrier is great for quickly shitting on AT guns and supressing inf throughout the game the game, pretty much guarantees phase A victory if you have tanks/can deal with their tanks.
Chase Gutierrez

Luke Lewis
can the infantry mortar teams deploy in forests?
Camden Smith
Do you guys like Steel Division?
Zachary Smith
yes
need friends tho
Evan Ortiz
I'm going to reserve real judgement until they add some more of these supposed 8 divisions we will have on launch, but right now it feels like a good evolution of what I wanted from the Wargame series. I guess we'll see what next week brings.
Bentley Foster
>next week what are we getting next week?
Brayden Cooper
Bad wording, I was more so saying next week had better be bringing something, games out in a month.
Mason Gray
We're going to have 18 divisions on launch
Hudson Edwards
the game hit preorder beta last thursday/friday right?
maybe we'll get something before the weekend on a weekly basis
>eugen >content
Eli White
Pretty sure MadMat said no M18s
Landon Allen
Is there anywhere I can browse the division units without have to be in game? Is there a website or wiki with all this info?

>mfw people set hour long SD games
No you fucks, the game isn't made for 30 minute phase C games.
The only way it would even be remotely functional is if you elongated the other phases
The Absolute MadMat says there's going to be new maps and divisions added, revealed next week.
Robert Bell
>still not including my pastebin in the literature section RRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE pastebin.com/0LCQp3Tf
Julian Davis
Pretty sure they can. Personally, I use mortars to support leg infantry, putting them a couple hundred meters behind them and move them up together. Other arty, I just spread them out waaaay behind and hammer problem areas.
Hudson Rodriguez
How micro intensive is SD? I really like the look of it but I have the reactions of a mongoloid and my brain explodes if there's too much going on too fast. I'm more used to combat missions type speed.
Benjamin Phillips
>try to play a game of RD >game starts >GPU crashes with no BSOD message thanks eugen
Ethan Wood
I'm really shit at micro too, and it's not too bad. it's easier than wargame in any case, as you don't usually have to fuck around with turning off infantry MGs or radars.
it gets easier with more players I think, since you're watching a smaller area than in a 1v1.
Joshua Ross
much more micro heavy than wargame imho
Jace Barnes
That's what I was hoping, the videos I've seen do look to be slower pace and less units which is a plus for me. I just bought the game anyway so guess I'll see for myself if my brain melts. At least you can actually (basically) pause the game against the ai this time round.
Noah Morales
I wish we could get old /wgg/ back I would unironically buy ALB a second time if that would revive the community
Ethan Fisher
u wot
there's a reason it died
Adam Morgan
Is this game any good?
Gavin Johnson
the reason is they released a horrible sequel and split/ destroyed the whole community
Chase Perry
It straight up died for the sole reason that eugene can't into matchmaker
John Price
ALB was a dumpsterfire
nothing of value lost
Jackson Adams
Am I the only one using heavy artillery spotters? I think I haven't played against anyone using them yet, and they are quite effective
Jayden Adams
>People complained about how all of the maps were flat in EE >Lets put impassable mountains in AB's maps which will force players into corridors
That alone made it kind of suck famaladingdong
Jeremiah Martinez
I use them, yeah. really good AoE suppression plus pretty good damage, like one of the better MLRS from RD.
luftlande getting a 210mm spotter in A is actually pretty good; if you're in a team game and aim it well, you can really fuck up the opening blob of the guy across from you and take the town or wherever you're going.
Jaxson Gomez
kinda dissapointed in the 380mm railgun the luftlande gets but overall i love them. reminds me of offmap artillery in WIC
Hudson Bennett
Tri-Polstens are far superior to any other AA, including bofors (2nd best AA). They are OPAF
Eli Brown
range should be bigger but otherwise theyre pretty neat
Alexander Lopez
There will be 18 divisions when the game releases, 9 allied and 9 axis. There's 4 in beta atm, and more are coming to beta soon.
Aiden Gomez
>forgetting the autismo shitposting that plagued every thread
Jaxon Long
Yeah, the real reason /wgg/ died was because some intensely autistic shitposting drove everyone off. I'm including the idiotic purity testing some people tried to institute in a dying thread via aggressive shitposting.
Owen Harris
Explain your ALB purism to me. I don't get it, but it might be because I haven't played it myself. Do you miss the tomcat circles? The atgm spam? Playing mixed blue forever?
