Underrated Cars

post cars that you think are highly underrated

I'll start with the Lexus CT200h
>better interior layout than Merc CLA
>precise steering with decent amount of feedback
>pretty stable with high speeds
>although the transmission is a CVT, it is very refined and works surprisingly well for spirited drives
>really fun to drive
>40mpg easy
>hockey puck mouse is actually very intuitive after you get the hang of it
>is a hybrid but doesn't make you look like the Sarah Silverman type

2008+ Infiniti G37s Coupe is criminally underrated.

>370z engine w/ 330hp
>Styling is nice without being edgy or tryhard
>Interior is the comfiest place ever
>VQ engine reliability 200k+ miles are common for these cars
>beautiful exhaust note
>can be found under 15k for with 75k miles
>good aftermarket

One of the best Grand Touring coupes on the market and no one cares about it.

Literally a Corolla shaped Prius. I get 40 mpg average with my diesel Corolla.

>underrated cars
Literally any used modern electric car. They're so cheap and make perfect shitboxes.

It's not underrated, it's a rebodied Prius.

>Better interior than the worst Mercedes
Wow it's nothing.jpg
Also, the interior is pretty small for anyone over 6'.
>Precise steering
Bullshit. It's one of the first and worst electronic steering assist setups.
>CVT is refined
No. It drones and revs way too high with too little throttle input.
>Works surprisingly well for spirited drives
I suggest you readjust your definition of spirited drive, because it's a battery-laden pigfat FF shitbox with a mediocre power-focused transmission.
>Fun to drive
Opinion, and your opinion is shit.
>40mpg easy
For a hypermiler, sure. Fleet economy is an awful lot lower though.
>Hockey puck mouse
Most annoying control system I've ever seen.
>Not a hybrid-looking hybrid
Yes it is, because everybody here knows they're just hybrid cuckboxes.

Bottom line: they're a cheap, upmarket Prius, that doesn't look like a Prius.

The only upside on them is that they're pretty safe. Five friends of mine got hit on the Autobahn in one, rear ended by a drunk driver while doing about 140kph. The thing rolled at least three times according to eyewitnesses. End result: some cuts, bruises, and a single concussion.

>No one cares about it
Because not a lot of people want a cheap GT car made by Nissan.

>40 MPG easy

40 mpg is not even easy, is idiot proof.

I'm constantly > 50 mpg

I've driven a G35 sedan, did the G37 do anything to fix the horrible automatic transmission or it still only good in manual?

It's not a rebodied Prius, it's a rebodied Auris (basically Euro-market Corolla-alike) with some Prius guts.

The 7 speed auto is faster to 60 than the 6 speed manual. And from what I heard they are very responsive after the TSB transmission patch in 2010 for the 7speed.

Rebadged Auris then.

The Prius is for hippies, the Auris is for geriatrics. Not much of a difference.

I think the genesis coupe is more underrated

t. hasn't actually driven a CT and is basing his post on some prius that has worse steering, suspension and transmission as well as only used lexus enform for 30 seconds at an auto show

Anyone can make a v6 with 300+ hp and it's disgusting.

What other manufacturer makes a naturally aspirated V6 with over 330 hp? That's a pretty high hp for a 3.7

>highly luxurious
>2JZ engine straight from a supra
>low priced because japanese taxes
I don't see why more people aren't importing them.

i never hear anyone talk about mazda 3s

I have an idea of why people might not import them.

Its bland, heavy and unreliable. Fuck that.

>200hp
>can be had for stupid cheap, fraction of civic SI price
>6.3 0-60
>LSD
>only manual

It makes less torque than the GM lfx and the cyclone 3.7.

Underrated

>owned exclusively by blacks

C30 with the straight 5, manual. Interior was low rent considering the price though.

Simple interior is good man. No bullshit and keeps the car light.

>c30
>light

Suzuki Esteem/Aerio

~2200lbs
No Toyota/Honda rice tax
Low comp strong engines that love boost
4 wheel mac suspension

goat tier shitboxes.
