B-but it was the n-natives fault!!

>b-but it was the n-natives fault!!

wtf i love bisons now

Literally who said it was the natives

At least we used ALL of the animal, unlike those savages.

under capitalism every part of the animal is used, very efficient

just as noble virtuous and sacred as native american culture

Who gives a fuck? Literal tumblr tier shit. Fuck bison

>tfw no one talks about the extinction of the Rocky Mountain Locust

>one famed sighting in 1875 estimated at 198,000 square miles (510,000 km2) in size (greater than the area of California), weighing 27.5 million tons, and consisting of some 12.5 trillion insects – the greatest concentration of animals ever speculatively guessed, according to Guinness World Records.

Within 30 years they were extinct

How did they go extinct?

Farmers plowing up the small areas were they laid their eggs and miners smashing the rest while trying to gold-pan.

Last one was seen in Canada in 1902.

maybe there were too much of them?

Who the fuck said that the Natives massively killed the Bisons?

>the natives were so great, they used all of the animal unlike the savage whites!
>white people use the animal down to the tiniest bit of bone fragment
>WTF WHITES ARE EVIL THEY KILLED THE BISON AND GRINDED THEM UP IN A BISON HOLOCAUST

Pretty much any and every historian who knows anything about Indians.

The Americans were just more effective at it.

>natives that have lived with the animals for millenia
>somehow it's their fault when the dumb white man that is today overfishing/overhunting animals into extinction came and fucked their shit up
why are white people so retarded that they can't even own up to their own faults?

>Pretty much any and every historian who knows anything about Indians.

"no"

Care to share some sources from these historians you speak of?

You're pretty much lying or you've never read a history book.

WTF i hate exploitation nao

>an 1877 Nebraska law said that anyone between the ages of 16 and 60 had to work at least two days eliminating locusts at hatching time or face a $10 fine

Bison numbers in the 1850s were massively inflated due to ecological upset. Their numbers had been increasing for nearly 200 years, due to native humans declining, territorial expansion, and later the slow extermination of wolves.

Put another way, the number of bisons humans saw in the 19th century was a freak anomaly.

Apparently it felt like an earthquake when the entire herd moved. Must of been a sight to see.

The OP did, to facilitate his strawman.

You're welcome, future generations.
