Starting INT with the Sorcerer and casting HSA will 1-2 shot nearly everything in the early game, and so will the starting STR/DEX Mail Breaker.

When making a Sorcerer, you should always go for quantity over quality, but getting 10 STR for the Raw Broadsword is always recommended.

Just finished the game for the first time. Did anyone else feel like half the game is missing?
Every other souls game gives you kind of an initial objective (DS1 you have to get to the titty lady, DS2 you have to kill the 4 great ones to get past the shrine) and then you get another objective after that.
In DS3 you get an initial objective to kill the 4 lords of cinder, and then the game ends after the next boss. I have to be fucking missing something here.

Unless you mean the crystal chime, which scales non-dark spells and miracles with int and faith, but that's only for damage casts, not buffs, buff with the crystal chime only scale with one stat and since the crystal chime only goes up to C scaling it's not very good for buffing

The beams can only be used off slow as molasses charged r2s.
It's as heavy as an ultra weapon.
It's the worst moonlight greatsword after the large sword of moonlight.

I've been saying this for weeks. It damn near 3 shots vordt as well if you stack int with double dragon rings and if you keep pumping only int it will 3 shot abyss watchers as well.

Is there any reason to not replace Life Ring or Havel's with it then? Havel's I can understand keeping or using both, but Life Ring, depending on your vigor, is probably gonna be worth less than 5 levels.

I meant starting as in the INT you start with as a Sorcerer, and assuming you only have the Young Dragon Ring.
HSA is strong, but GHSA is much better, and in NG+ will fuck Vordt right up with all the bonuses, though.

What you are asking is if there is a damage mitigation calculator, where you input ar and defense and output damage. I don't think so, your best bet is to test with a friend. Also, there are swing modifiers that you have to know.

I wouldnt replace fap with chain, Id just use both. Life Ring isnt THAT amazing anyways. It only ever gets you ~200 hp, and chain kinda accomplishes that with the added benefit of more Veeky Forums potential and flat armor.

I just put all my estus except 1 or 2 into ashen and spammed hidden body and Soul Greatsword. Shit took all my ashen, probably wouldnt work now because spamming Hidden Body would be worse now.
