Be Ford

>Be Ford
>Make homologation special for "muh anniversary" that is not even a production car
>Get favourable BoP and win
>Return next year to defend the title
>Get raped by a 10 year old GT2 car

Can Ford do anything right?

They allowed Aston Martin to develop the V8 Vantage.

If BOP didn't exist, it would have won with the Aston in the back of the pack

>Ferd

>Spend millions on making a one-of event car

>Make 1000 plastic shitcars that will not sell so they can compete

>cheat your way to victory by sandbagging in quali

>2017. Spend millions on FOUR cars

>Get assraped by BoP

>Get assraped by a 10 year old Aston Martin and a shit GM Corvette

>Only manage to get to second place with one car

>Muh bop
>This delusion

If power/displacement restrictions weren't as low as they are. ferd probably wouldn't have been pressured into a V6.

>1000 plastic shitboxes will not sell

750 sold out until 2019 with over 4000 applications. The last 250 will be sold in a day once they're up for grabs.

Better question. What the fuck was Porsche doing?

Actually the BoP wasn't favourable for Ford GT at all, it made the LM version of the car less powerful than the street version

They're pretty irrelevant.

They did well at the start of the race, they got to second place or so.

One of them crashed or something

They kicked up this massive storm about BoP regulations favoring mid-engined cars with lots of aero and how they'd moved to an MR layout for the new 911 RSR because the Ford GT was too fast, and then the race happened and they were still uncompetitive as fuck.
Like what even was the point of removing the 911's signature characteristic if it didn't help them finish any higher up?

This is advertisement for ecoboost, which goes for downsizing and forced induction. Don't fool yourself that a V8 was ever considered.
Every single car on the GTE field has a street car with more power
>GT: 600+ hp
>C7: 640 hp
>488: 650 HP
>Aston: 525 HP
>Porsche 560 HP

>>Porsche 560 HP
640hp if you count the upcoming GT2 RS

It was my impression that in this LeMans many teams where extremely unprepared.

Ford wasnt prepared for BoP, ridiculous defeat after fielding FOUR cars

Corvette wasnt prepared in general, only catching up at the end

GT Porsches are bland and mid-tier as fuck

LMP1 was a fiasco overall, all three teams.

Where the fuck was Ferrari during this race? Did they all crash while I was sleeping?

Why is BoP even a thing?
Why can't the best car win?

Sure one company may win loads of times but that would just make other companies step up their game, no?

Ferrari won the GTE Am category

Nobody would watch races

Much less 24 hour races

because of costumer cars, everyone would buy the fastest car without bop. they should stop using bop in the pro category tho

What about in Pro? Where were they?

They can finish higher than a veteran team like Corvette Racing on their first and second factory outings since 1967.

In the middle, nothing special.

This was about Aston Martin mostly, with Ferd and Corvette in the middle as well

>Four cars
>Full seasons in wec and imsa
>Considers beating some slow team an achievement
They're pretty much veterans at this point.
