if you read local chronicles people were rather prone to violence and pretty much used to it, plus everione went around armed if they could, even if it was often illegal unless one was a noble or military

a bigger problem would be that the attack was unprovoked, inexplicable, and so probably caused by bad spirits, deamons, witchcraft or somesuch, that would actualy scare people and so cause more violence, the notion of some kid stabbing someone wouldnt realy make peoples heads turn, just another kid getting hanged, if not killed on site(unless his dad is some local bigshot)

I don't know. I remember watching something about the mafia and how poor kids in inner-cities, specifically italian and jewish kids who eventually got into the mafia started off as violent youths. You even see it in poorer black communities today...

As for senseless violence on innocents by kids...I don't know if this is relatively new or not, but kids are super sensitive in general. Like in our society today, you have kids, pre-teens, being pandered to and programmed through entertainment to act like adults. If it's not some weird ass pre-teen looking like a tiny Bieber-type singing about love and exploiting other kids its a pre-teen girl dressing and trying to act like an adult, acting as if they know anything about love and attention seeking....this could be fucking confusing to some kids who don't understand what the fuck is going on with all the other kids around him who are mimicking this adult behavior.

Plus violence is introduced pretty quick, in movies and video games creating the illusion that this could potentially be an answer to problem solving. So if you're like, either relatively poor and can't afford the best clothes, or just generally aren't that good at pretending to be an adult and play dress up like other kids are,and other kids start fucking with you, calling you a fucking weirdo or whatever because you can't fit in....there's going to be some kids who fucking lose it.

Now I grew up with video games and violent movies, my mom would take me to see R rated movies and let me watch and do anything I wanted, so I never believed older people who tried to blame music and shit like video games for bad behavior. I thought it was bullshit.

But in hindsight...I can remember those kids who couldn't dress as well, or talk like me or my friends. I can remember those few poor kids that were made fun of. They had brown clothes and shit, you could tell they were poor. I'd make fun of them at times. Didn't even know wtf I was doing.

I probably am, but I regret every time I made fun of less fortunate kid I grew up with though. It's a shitty feeling to think and look back at times. Also it's not as if I did it regularly. Could have been like 2 or 3 times a year I laughed at another kid or whatever, but even just once can fuck with someone at a young age.

But I have no idea if this still happens today, but just from observing how things have changed for kids in these current days...I could imagine there being more excuses for kids to lose their minds. In medieval times if you were a psychopath or a sadist, there were lines of work for you to get into. If you were lonely or felt socially neglected, you would have had a tight-knit community that you share culture, traditions, and blood with and would not be forced into borderline-zoo American "school" environment every day with people you have nor want anything to do with.

This is a modern phenomenon caused by overmedication, vicious school environments, and disastrous multiculturalism, but the public would rather blame and ban random things one by one indefinitely then actually accept it.

In the 1930s it was bank robberies, in the 1970s it was being a high body count serial killer, and now it's mass shootings
