Guys I need your ideal Hives and fanatical purifiers, metal heads and honourbound warriors for only war galaxy.
Jace Johnson

They're being attacked by a 1K fleet of space amoebas now
Jacob Phillips
Poor little Lemuria.
Carter Turner
Because pic related.
Ethan Jackson
Battleships are actually the worst chassis in the game by far and you're better off not using them. The only exception is if you already have like 600k fleet power and you fire so many rounds that even though missing 80% of them you still one-shot the enemy fleet.
Jacob Ross
Corvettes are to slow, and tracking beat evasion rather hard now. I find topic of preflood archeology interesting. Mainstream ignore everything that happen before or outside main narrative.
Julian Ortiz
Battleships are superior in the fact that you can just slap an XL mount along with a few L mounts, then the rest M/S. The larger the weapon, the worse the tracking on it, henceforth why a couple of battlecruisers with nothing but small/medium mounts will devastate corvettes.
Alexander Torres
Spam more corvettes then.
Justin Perez
What is the best way to deal with Battleships? I made a fleet specifically designed to defeat the battleships the enemy had and they still wrecked my shit. My corvettes were numerous and designed to take down the shields with neutron torps, destroyers take down any enemy torps/missiles, cruisers and battleships pop the enemy battleships with whatever weapon suits their defences the best. I figured I might have 2x or even 3x fewer battleships and still win, but the fucking battleships decimate the corvettes at ease and still damage my battleships without any problems.
Why is it so fucking difficult to make a balanced game where every ship type has a fucking point?
What the fuck is the point of corvettes if you can have a huge battleship fleet that shit on anything less than an equal amount of battleships that are designed to counter those battleships?
If you just spam one type of battleship you will win everything vs the AI,
I can't think of any good reason to build anything smaller than a cruiser. Every corvette type from the most spammable to the most high quality is just fucking useless.
Tyler James
Corvette torpedo boat spam is pretty powerful
Owen Hernandez
What other weapon types were you using apart from energy torpedoes?
Joshua Flores
I only use corvettes to act as an expendable meat shield or when fighting the Unbidden. One of the few instances they're actually useful is when they're diverting attention away from the big guns.
Levi Nguyen
>lose one of my fleets attacking a spectral wraith >swarm shows up and attacks two warring fallen empires >2 years later the unbidden show up
I'm fucked
Cameron Richardson
>Why is it so fucking difficult to make a balanced game where every ship type has a fucking point?
Maybe because no one has any idea what space combat might look like? If anything it might be cute to copy 17th century ship of the line, cross the t style naval warfare. It could be hyper speed drivebys with quantum computers calculating targeting systems. Now that I'm thinking about it, why would a space faring nation even need crew members on their battle fleets? It is also a question of whether armor will catch up to fire power, modern combat consists of tactical, long range, and stealth while combat a hundred years ago consisted of men stand around looks tough. Totally depends on the killing power of weapons.
Aaron Stewart
is there any way to guarantee close Sol spawn? i want to enslave humans!
Nicholas Reed
how does border competition even work? I never managed to figure it out.
like, if you have your currrently borders and get a +% border range, you gobble it up? and what the fuck is border extrusion?
Blake Barnes
My corvettes were the only ones with the energy torps. Destroyers had kinetic weapons and everything bigger than that had lasers except for X weapons which were kinetic.
Fleet was 60 corvettes, 40 destroyers, 20 cruisers and 10 battleships.
enemy fleet was something like 20 corvettes, 20 destroyers, 20 cruisers and 20 battleships.
Liam Gutierrez
No idea, this was completely random
Jack Allen
Ruh roh
What do?
Kayden Fisher
it's about tricking your enemy into using all of their reaction mass before you do, then hitting them with mass when they can no longer get out of the way.
Jackson Howard
>awaken FE attack me >have 80k stack of corvettes vs 250k stack of titans and escorts >cheese AI, destroy their transports and occupy their planets >win war >unbidden spawn >beat them at spawn point >swarm come on the other side of galaxy >death on arriving Fanatical purifers for the win.
Luis Nguyen
It all depends on whose systems and outposts are closest to the border, and which empire has the most border extrusion buffs (how far out your borders extend).
Alexander Watson
It loves you, user. Give it a hug.
Xavier Allen
Did all of the destroyers have PD? because that's a potential over-investment. Only need around 20 PD boats at most for a fleet that small. Lasers aren't too good. Plasma is much better if you can get it.
And the issue there I don't think is so much that the enemy had slightly more battleships than you. It's that they have an extra 18k or something worth of minerals in both defense and at overpowering your heavy ranged. Less destroyers, and battleships and more cruisers and a bit more corvettes probably would've done better.
Grayson James
Love the worm user... It loves you
Dominic Rivera
EMBRACE THE WORM
Daniel Kelly
What would an explorer do?
Owen White
But lasers are shit. You need go full kinetics because muh targeting.
Parker Nelson
Well, that was fucked.
Jackson Stewart
Are there any fixes for the late game lag on Stellaris? I'm really annoyed, I spent plenty of time on that save.
Carson Edwards
Hold on to your butt, user. It's actually a pretty fun quest chain, and you hardly ever get it, so play it to completion.
Adam Lee
>there are people who are worried about loving the worm
Tyler Myers
>Are there any fixes for the late game lag on Stellaris
Yeah, purge the xenos
Michael Diaz
Forgot picture
Kevin Miller
Yeah, some awakened empire swallowed my neighboors. So I guess that's causing it?
Kayden Ward
The worm shared its love with them
Connor Bennett
Ffs. You guys have battered these threads the past week. An impressive amount of (shit)posting going on.
Some guy was asking in the last thread about DW races, so I made a thing.
Mason Miller
A lot of late game lag is caused by all the fleets and planets the AI is running. The more you purge, the less lag you get.
Christian James
The fun doesn't end there.
Landon Diaz
Did you make your civillian ship prefix foxy?
Cameron Green
Apparently not. This is exciting if somewhat scary
What next?
Isaac Baker
...
Josiah Bennett
Permit them to go.
Connor Collins
>What next? WHAT WAS WILL BE WHAT WILL BE WAS
Joshua Gutierrez
Now... Let's go worship worms
Jason Ramirez
>all those prime worlds user NO
Jace Ramirez
Yes, judge me
Another scientist lost to this hole. I'm telling you, doesn't look good so far.
Gabriel Adams
just seeing this makes me want to buy the game wtf
John Torres
Yeah growing Earth theory. >that would explain why land crust is old as fuck compared to deepest fresh ocean ones >would explain how you can find fossils of sea monsters in mountains - everything at some point was under water 2nd favorite to electric universe >earth were partner in electric exchange with another celestial body >plasma discharges rip crust and displaced it somewhere else >fossils are remnants of this >it do not happen one time
Jackson Evans
The worm is sharing its love with your empire.
Nathan Nelson
It's good user, it will get better...
Brody Taylor
What mods should I get for Stellaris? I've already downloaded the mod for white humans, anything else needed?
Gabriel Lewis
Just ragequit my fanatical purifiers run, due partially to autism but mostly due to Paradox incompetence. I invaded a pre-FTL species on a world that wasn't super-habitable - maybe 50% - to me and migrated a pop there to start filling it out while I exterminated the native life. However, the event that causes residents of a planet to modify their own genes and turn into a different species fired, so my Xenophobic faction was pissed that I "genetically modified my own species" even though I did no such thing. I thought, okay, I'll just purge these dumb motherfuckers for modifying themselves, but the game considered them part of the founding species even though they had their own seperate tab in the species menu, so I wasn't allowed to purge them.
The rest of the game I would have been forced to deal with an impure planet with no ability to get rid of these bastards and that just really rustled me.
Cooper Fisher
Well, I sacrificed another. Got new tech which is always a positive.
Think I'll follow through with it, I've sacrificed like three five-stars already
Robert Martinez
>foxy leif ericson
Josiah Nguyen
Hivemind empire any fun? Psychic was shit, and synth was too OP to be fun.
Bentley Smith
I thought this event chain was broken. Did the new patch fix that?
Joseph Morales
Racist scum. You better play diverse or Diversity Police will take you out.
Jose Sullivan
yeah. Paradiccks hate fun. What they did it was just limiting gameplay options.
Noah Price
>early game event pirate base spawn ON TOP OF my science ship while its surveying :^)^))^)^)^
Leo Torres
For the short while I played DW I always picked the Dhayut. Giant spiders of genocide are the best.
Carter Wood
Whipping up a quick trait mod so you don't have to keep picking sedentary and slow leaders as your negatives if anyone is interested
>tfw to autistic to not roleplay each species
Benjamin Turner
the worldwide cataclysm and the biblical flood have been confused
Oliver Hughes
What was, will be. Getting showered with tech and all, shame about the scientists though.
Julian Cox
Which one do you prefer, elliptical or spirals? Which one do you think is better?
When it comes to replicate the Milky Way, do you prefer spiral, for structure, or elliptic, for number (a tiny part of it)?
Ryder Myers
The Worm genuinely Loves you. By contrast, End of Cycle uses you.
Nathan Johnson
spirals are shit because there's no stars between the arms whatsoever
Dylan Hernandez
Elliptical is just more balanced.
Yang is superior.
Michael Richardson
You know what would have been fun for Hiveminds? Giving them something totally different from the normal Traditions mechanic. Flavor wise, it really makes no sense.
Replacing the normal seven tradition trees with two big, (generally) exclusive hivemind trees would have been much better.
>Ego For playing tall; the Hivemind gets more efficient at controlling its drones, and eventually becomes a gestalt consciousness above its drones, rather than being formed from them. It becomes an "I", rather than a "We". Bonuses to core worlds, naval capacity, influence, etc and so forth.
>Id For playing wide; the Hivemind becomes slowly able to create sub-minds within its greater whole, reducing the strain on the lead mind. Bonuses to worlds under sectors, reduced penalties to science and so forth, border range, etc.
Adam Foster
Likewise, the tradition system for non-hivemind species is disappointingly shallow.
They don't feel like "traditions" if you'll eventually get them all, sometimes with semi-exclusive ones like Diplomacy and Domination.
Rather, each tree should be expanded to at least three times its current size, with 2-3 Ascendency perks per tree. The cost of traditions increases exponentially for the number of tradition fields you're invested in past 3. Additionally, each tree should have some form of repeating bonus similar to technology, to increase some end-tree effect and act as a unity sink.
Owen Williams
I wish there was a globular galaxy generation.
Which is to say, elliptical but deformed with gaps and spindles and star bridges, like a big fuckin globular star formation. It's not even a galaxy.
Justin Bell
Dunno about this one. Great flood happen worldwide when something struck northern cap and melt ice. Especially north America get hit hard as water from melted ice cover flush south killing everything even stripping soil. And it happen in days, weeks maybe. There is also geological layer from this time and if you use electric universe model for electric scaring of planet that would make sense. One thing bugs me. Why science refuse to use bible as any other myth/epos book.
Justin Phillips
Can non-spiritualist empires still go for psionic ascension?
Nolan Hill
No.
Jordan Howard
the biblical flood is 2000BC, no other cultures than those depicted report anything like it, and it fits every detail of the story
the worldwide cataclysm is way before that
Jaxon Scott
Why would the divines bestow their gifts on the non-believers?
Mason Bell
>spiral with milky way/humans >anything else without humans
I prefer 4 arm spiral with hyperlanes
ring with wormholes for much fun
Carter Rodriguez
I hope Gisela Schmidt isn't next
Jace Nguyen
You can turn yourself into the fish-headed humanoid race if you keep up with it. Then it peters out with no good conclusion.
But you get a really good building with +20% to planet electricity output, and a similar one to government attraction or some shit.
Easton King
>the the messenger
Jeremiah Ramirez
Nope. There is plenty other cultures that has it. Heck even Greeks have one.
Andrew Morris
The next choice turns all your people into militant fish.
It's pretty meh.
Chase Foster
not at the time period it's supposed to be
like I said the worldwide cataclysm has been confused with the flood, don't do it
Hudson Nguyen
What global flood? There is no geological evidence of such an event.
Cameron Wood
Christ, I don't want to be some fruity fish. Guess it's time to off another scientist, then...
