You can use the leaf on any tile of water.
I wasted it by accidentally pressing enter while next to water. It didn't even bridge a gap, just was pointlessly placed there.
And yes, that was the first place I looked.
Enemies can do H attacks to your character and it's handled in the same fashion as in D&P, though not as well animated.
Besides that, there are somewhat animated H-CGs that can be gotten through a few events and an ending.
