Camera doesn't really have anything to do with backstabs. If you want to prevent them keep throwing knives or bundles available, they turn your model around instantly and will usually make a backstab attempt whiff

It probably is better for freeaiming spells, but that's a pretty limited advantage. Get really good with chaos fireballs maybe

That works for some sets like Vilhelm's, but you still get fucked proportions with the Firelink set. Instead of being a literal skeleton in armour, you become a THICC skeleton in armour. The skeletal features remain but become weirdly distorted.

Sure, but as a workaround you can still use the appearance change mechanic if you really want to use that set.
I think some of it is probably from the fact that the characters wearing those sets are meant to be basically emaciated, skeletal hollows.

Midir only took me a few tries mostly due to the awkward as fuck getting hit by his hitbox everytime he moves and I was top stupid to recognize how to dodge the firebreath aimed at his feet.
