I'd like it if all of the teams be managed by people who were always around and were able to do everything for themselves but what being involved with the Cup means to each manager is different and as the commissioner I feel responsible to help managers any way that I can.
Not keeping the board involved and well represented is a dereliction of what I feel is the manager's ultimate responsibility but as of now /merit/ and myself have not found a good and fair way to balance that responsibility especially considering that we know telling people they have to regularily break the rules of the site by making threads could be a risk to the existence of the Cup overall. Right now almost every team is within the range of acceptable engagement with the board and while there's some specific exceptions it's a mess to try and deal with those and only those without potentially upsetting everything else in the Cup so we're focusing on making sure that people who enter the Cup undertand the better ways to act as a manager.
