Is there a way to secure kills more consistently with the mastiff? It's the most satisfying gun to use, but it feels like a total crapshoot whether I get 1 shot kills or not. Sometimes it works with just a bodyshot, sometimes it doesn't.

Anybody get a couple weird lag spikes today? Like up to 1000? I saw one guy bitching about it in chat but assumed it was on his end. A few games later I had it happen to me. I'm usually at 60 ping and it was popping up to 1000 and averaging about 160. I did some speed tests and everything seemed fine.

Happens every once in a while on console, I usually hit 20-60.

I see people in /tfg/ giving it love all the time. I've used it a bit, just hard on more open maps to get the angle right and if its really close quarters I just opt for softballs.

I think it has to do with the tendency to kill the wielder and the softball being better.
SMR is basically a projectile assault rifle but aside from "it kills titans good" I don't see it get much love either.

i love the smr

it 1shots grunts, it's great for bursting down spectres and even reapers, it's great against titans, and it's fine against pilots. it works best if you're against slows and you're flying about overhead like every other grenadier weapon but it's not terrible as a normal ass gun, you just gotta lead your shots a little if they're far away.

For extra lob angle practice go scorch

softball (speedloader+extra ammo), wingman elite(tactikill+extra ammo), amped weapons, arc grenade. Grapple, phase, and cloak are all good with this kit.

this is actually the shitter mentality, he can't go fast without his crutch tacticals. if you're really fast you can do it without this shit.

I like the ability to corner quickly while preserving speed so I use grapple. You can't just go fast in a straight line user.

Anons, using shit that makes you faster doesn't mean I can't go fast without it, so if you know how to go fast and then use ability to go faster you go double fast.
Also, the problem is that every tactical that isn't for fasting is casual as fuck with exception of holo and maybe pulse, all options are:
>A wallhack
>Hide from titans ability beacuse you aren't fast enough to evade titans using your speed, and this doesn't even work beacuse everyone can see your jet trail so the only viable thing to do with it is to camp
>A fucking wall for camping
>A "please don't kill me" button and everyone who isn't retarded can predict where you will show up anyway
