To be fair, they DIDN'T really have time to explain every little thing to Ryuji, and nobody else seemed to have problems figuring it out.

Honestly, I'm not sure why Ryuji had issues. By that point in the game he had a pretty decent grasp of the cognition stuff, and it's not really all that hard to understand "the treasure thinks it's a God because humans' cognition made it so because they don't want to actually do things for themselves". Even the grail itself explained that like twice.

Persona's entire concept was "What if we made SMT but easier and more accessible to the general public".

Still, I think both series have their merits. SMT IV was a damn good game, and Persona 5 is also a damn good game. Both have flaws and both have things the other doesn't.

I've been trying to strengthen a Lachesis with a Clotho that has Tetraja but it's not giving Lachesis a Tetraja.

This came up a bit the other day, but its nice that P5 has such a strong waifu selection across the board. Aside from Ohya they're all pretty good and I'm sure she has her fans too. You get the odd anti-Makoto autist or the like for the other girls, but by and large they all seem pretty well liked.

Whereas 3 and 4 definitely had some excellent girls but also a lot more forgettable ones, or ones that have divided opinions at the very least.

Ryuji, Tae and Tora seem to be the 3 easiest to max out early, but Tora is easy to miss like Shinya and Haru so I'd imagine a lot of people will probably end up skipping him.

Why not fuse Lachesis using clotho? It's 100 times easier.

It's definitely worth it. It's kinda annoying at times when they drop items or nothing but nothing will compare to 70k+ every turn. Though I don't think it's worth it if you don't have a large luck stat (not sure how it affects the money you get).

I don't know. It's fine to like Haru but you can literally edit her out of the game and nothing much related to the main plot/murders would change.

Although anyone could have done it, I did like moment where he started chanting for the phantom thieves at the end. It's one of his only shining moments in the game.

I legitimately forgot that Ai existed until I needed to explain to my sister how Inverted and Broken Social Links worked. I can't remember 80% of the Social Links from 3. There was a guy that died, and a fat kid that joined a cult, and a monk that got his drink on all the time. Oh, and Tanaka.

I know I'm gonna start a flame war for saying this, but it's because she's in small doses late enough in the game for you to already be invested in other shit. I think that if Haru and Makoto switched when you got them in the plot, people would bitch a lot more about Haru and a lot less about Makoto.

I'm not saying that Makoto doesn't have her issues, but exposure time can influence a lot of opinions and impressions of a character, and less is usually more when it comes to this stuff.

She really does show up so late. She was practically nonexistent for me since proficiency was the stat i neglected so I never even did her social link. Felt fucking terrible being stuck at 4 proficiency and her being the only real confidant I needed left on my first play through (and the speech giving man).

Feels like her entire existence in the game was one big mistake when they had the potential to make a top tier girl if they just shuffled her place in the story around a bit. Hell, the entire Okumura arc would be better if you had actually gotten to know her by that point.
