As a small business owner that sorts most of his merchandise from china, how will a Drumpf presidency affect me? Is hard being a small business owner and compete with all the huge corporations out there, if drumpf makes the taxes higher for people that import people from China he will essentially bankrupt all the small guys out there.

It's simple. Change to a us supplier.

I have been in business for 5 years now and most of the local suppliers also sort their merchandise from china.

Retard. BUY AMERICAN SELL AMERICAN. HOW HARD IS IT TO UNDERSTAND

You would have to double the price of the item to make any money.
Plus American made only has a marginal difference in quality.
This is either the start of everything getting stupid expensive or the death of small scale e-commerce stores.

Good luck OP,
I'm in the same boat as you.

Where to buy american?

In America, of course!

checked

why do you import people from china?

link?

SHUT UP YOU FILTHY COMMIE!

>Drumpf

Kill yourself faggot

Trump is going to ruin us as a country because he feels we all need to be fucking MADE IN AMERICA!!!

Fyi trump, people need other nations to make money. I really hate him being president

And if China keeps selling junk at rock bottom prices, they'll bankrupt western industries or force them to outsource to China, creating large amounts of unemployment.

Oh wait, that happened.

Why do you want manufacturing jobs in the U.s.? If chinese peasants can do it then we dont want thise jobs here anyway because they are doomed to automation in the next 20 years. Protectionism is economic death and trumps policies are stone retarded.

>Protectionism is economic death
Yeah south korea is a real shithole right now

>murricans now forced to produce their own shit
>can no longer buy from chyna

how is this not going to only benefit the super-rich and super-creative

I dont think you understand the point he's making since you compare america to south korea of all places but then again part of me feels you do and just want to disagree cause youre a perpetual manchild.

Either way the policies he'll set in action will doom america

Cus the price of manufacturing is going to go off the roof unless you automatize everything which is what Ann Coulter was shilling for so maybe there is hope for America after all, the automaton's of America that is, general public won't be able to afford a tomato unless Trump turns America in to a socialist shit hole

john candy was so angry

American conservatives are stupid enough to buy any shit as long as it is framed as "muh america". They think protectionism is good, as they assume people will want shitty sweatshop jobs just because its in America

I fucking hate liberals, dont get me wrong, but American conservatism is its own unique brand of retardation

A plus side is that trucking, shipping, and delivering will all be automated.

We will have self driving trucks, and door to door deliveries will be done by quadcopter drones picking up packages and flying them right to customers doorsteps.

This is good news for ecommerce guys, since this will lower shipping costs by a shitload. It sucks for truck drivers tho.

God you guys are retarded. Once products from overseas become tariffed that allows fororr competition to rise up in the states. More competition in the states means lower prices.

If you want to continue dropshipping after Trump cucks us out of China's markets, you probably have to use legit wholesaler dropshippers, but you have to do a credit application to do business with them to show you are a legit retailer. Which means you need to apply for your state's reseller permit and get an EIN, among other things.

It means local businesses no longer have to worry about foreign competition, which means we will be cucked with higher prces.

We already had competition in the states, but they were outcompeted by China

It sucks for everyone who makes less than $20/hour lmao.

>Technological unemployment[edit]
>Concerns about automation and other causes of technological unemployment have caused many in the high-tech industry to turn to basic income proposals as a necessary implication of their business models. Journalist Nathan Schneider first highlighted the turn of the "tech elite" to these ideas with an article in Vice magazine, which cited figures such as Marc Andreessen, Sam Altman, Peter Diamandis, and others.[46] The White House, in a report to Congress, has put the probability at 83% that a worker making less than $20 an hour in 2010 will eventually lose their job to a machine. Even workers making as much as $40 an hour face odds of 31 percent.[47]

niggers and white trash btfo

A lot of us are going to cucked by robots.

Which is why we need a welfare state so we can live our lives out as NEETs, as is the natrual state of man

Stop buying Chink shit, NOW

I'm not dropshipping, I created my own product.
Simply having more competition in the US doesn't lower my costs when you look into creating the foundation of the manufacturing process.
I got my molds made and assembly process put together in china for around $10k.
Having that done here in the US for what I want done gets quoted around $50k + I still end up having to pay higher labor costs.
Unless massive scale automation gets put into play (meaning no new manufacturing jobs kek) then I'm still paying a higher unit price.
Regardless of what kind of retarded rhetoric you want to throw around the numbers are still telling me that I'm fucked.

>We already had competition in the states, but they were out competed by China
This. The Chinese simply wanted it more.
So much for our free markets.

#MAGA

America first motherfuckers. Americans were tired of the top percent getting to exploit Chinese slavewages instead of paying American workers.

Maybe small businesses do the right thing and make products cheaper, but big coporations just use it to increase their margins at no benefit to non-investors. I know for a fact Walmarts margins are HUUUUGE on most electronics at least.

Why do you trump guys never even try to factcheck anything?

>Wal-Mart Stores Profit Margin (Quarterly):2.57% for Oct. 31, 2016
ycharts.com/companies/WMT/profit_margin

Im not seeing an option to sort by department

>muh drop shipping gravy train!
Your "small business" is just a parasitic middleman that provides no value. Open a business that actually matters if you want to stay relevant.

relevant

Thank you for this gem

Walmarts margins are HUUUUUGE (but actually only for one specific department)

Yes. Different departments have different margins. Its probably product by product, but similar products have similar margins.

Electronics is the only one I can (and only one I did) vouch for having huge margins.

Also I know dry food has small margins, but thats all the more my manager buddy told me.

Grocery business is fiercely competitive and have razor-thin profit margins. Like 1% margins. Lately there is actually a horrible price war in the grocery business and they're all bleeding money left and right. It's a cyclical thing. Wal-Mart probably even purposely and routinely loses money on groceries as a loss-leader just to get people into the store to buy other shit they actually make profit from.

Electronics sounds about right for high profits, as well as clothing if you look at the layout of their stores, it's always in the middle and the layout tends to force you through both of them.
