The system is literally pairing the perceived current #1 and #2 teams together instead of against the other undefeated teams that dropped a map.

I didn't buy nuffin too, you can easily secure 8 levels by using only the packs you get from the battle pass. A friendly word of advice: pick supports that ward a lot or if you have like 20% wards planted bonus on them, I got over 40 points from warding alone on that saksa card with the bonus. Also don't stick to eg if you're not some kind of a na fanboy

If no one is grouping up in your games, then get ratting. Outside of the pro meta, split pushing was buffed way harder than people think.

NP went from useless to viable almost instantly and the Midas changes indirectly buffed Arc so hard that his 5k+ winrate is one of the highest in the game. It works well and is a fucking blast when done properly.

Overwatch was very successful though. You have to understand that the Blizzard game lifespan is like 3 - 4 years at best. Then they make a new game and the entire playerbase just migrates to the new game, so in a sense sc2 never truly died but was just reborn in a new form.
