I reached 1000+ wins in checkmate using ONLY lunalights, i have the right to be thirsty for the entire Lunalight archetype and there is nothing you can do about it

lol, old decks are deader than dead, if new-ish decks like DDD struggle with resources being used for link monsters, a shitty ass deck from 10 years ago won't do anything at all, and the meta being diverse, come on nigga, you're just lying to yourself if you think there was a diverse meta at all

user, Links were never going to "slow" the meta. We all knew it was going to "change" it though. We had both Kozmo and True Dracos as powerful decks with little reliance on the extra, so we knew they would become a focus.
Links basically hampered extra spamming, but it didn't stop the usage in itself, so while decks don't rely on extra deck anymore, it's still a toolbox to be abused.
Aside True Dracos, topping decks either have little need for mant extra deck monsters at once or, in case of Zoo, can quickly summon links to continue their spamming. This is why there are many True Draco variants, why the meta is mostly not focused in the extra deck and why we can see some unexpected decks appearing among the rogues once in a while

Every pack is guaranteed a Rare and at least a Super Rare. You usually get 2-3 Ultras in a box, and you're guaranteed at least 1 Secret in a box.

Yugioh is changing its not dying.
There is an active duel links thread and the game is getting more and more users. It probably will die down once they introduce synchros because like the Pokemon Go makers they don't realize they are selling pure nostalgia.
Link Summoning will also alienate a good amount of people.
The userbase will change completely.

That's why Duel Links works - there's technically no banlist because Konami basically has a fresh start to pick and choose what cards they allow players to use.

The game won't feel anything like "modern" yugioh until they release shit like Cyber Dragon and Junk Synchron.

Would it really matter if the characters call it speed dueling or not? They always just play 4k lp anyway, and never play out more than 20 cards a duel. Never a match game, singles only, and rarely go into heavy card play combo's that dump 5+ ED cards into the grave. If they called it speed dueling in tv I could we tell the difference from just another ygo duel?
