He has always targeted me. Every time. I think it may be a range issue. Lapp is always further away after he flies away to charge up laser and I just angle it away from lapp and roll through it and whack him or gnaw on him.
Most people agree that laser is easier. I cant dodge random meteores consistently. The laser is extremely easy to dodge and i don't have to fight my camera to see where the laser is coming from. Also I don't have to constantly avoid the laser. Once I'm in melee range it's already missing me and I'm free to go full dps without dodging further.

I'm using winged knight halberd and doing fine against greatsword, make sure you always land with the tip for extra damage and supreme spacing
