Another EQ flushed down the toilet of nothingness by shitters Hopefully the 4man stays hard

any girls here wanna erp?

I'm really new and lost, could someone hold my hand and tell me a good br/hu build?
Nathan Roberts
Its sad that sega nerfed it already, rather than just fixing the bugs it had. They also didn't increase the expert block count either. One can hope gracia is un-nerfed and possibly even buffed, but knowing sega that wont be the case now. I guess making content that only 50% of the playerbase or less can clear (because the other 50% are shitters who dont want to imrpove or leechers who want to be carried) was below their expectations.
Jason Howard
Depends on what kind of Br/Hu you want. Hybrid or full katana?
Asher Green
Full katana would be nice
Jack Clark
Just woke up how it got nerfed?
Blake Wood
weaker attacks+less hp
Cooper Howard
I saw some info that said bows were better for killing bosses than the katana, so if that's true then I might want a hybrid build instead.
Gavin Nguyen
Great, my tank build will be perfect for this now
Joseph Adams
Where is this documented I don't see an article for it anywhere
>shitters server transfer out of ship 2 because they can't beat deus amongst themselves >deus gets nerfed in the same patch that boots them out of ship 2 >shitters now have to pay again to get back in

Maybe I've just had good luck with groups but I've never failed it once. And that's with MPAs without WB too.
I've left some stuff out of the Hu tree. I run full S-ATK boosts on mine but if you want to pick up Massive hunter and some S-ATK boosts (prioritise getting S-ATK boost 3 first since it gives the most when maxed). If you do decide to go full S-ATK boosts; you'll have 4 points remaining. You can decide to use these on getting Never give up or War brave, take your pick there.
Hybrid build, left points out on the Hu tree if you want to pick up Automate (taking this means you don't need quickmate and can use the point for something in katana's tree. You'll be doing Banish + Kamikaze arrow x2 when doing hybrid (can use Chase arrow x3 as preparation if you have the time/PP before doing your combo)
As for rings: Air reversal, Step jump, Crit striking, Perfect keeper striking, PP convert and EPPR are all great (the first one being the best since every class benefits from it, step is melee use).
If you need any more information; just ask.

Thanks, this is great. I was considering getting massive hunter since, should I max it or just put in 1 point? I'm not really sure how the all resist values work, since it goes down to 75% at level 5. Are Iron Will and Automate Halfline worth getting or should I just focus on S-Atk boosts?
Cooper Hall
>Implying
Jordan Perry
You'll want to max Massive hunter due to a longer duration, better resist and shorter cooldown. Iron will is still RNG, even at max rank. One point into it is enough. Automate is playstyle preference. Do you want to automatically use mates while using a PA when you take a hit? I'll give you a warning though; it'll put you into a bad habit of not dodging/parrying when you should be.
Get the left side of the Hu tree done first since you'll want the stance + JA bonus first (pick up heal guard on the way, it's one point and very nice to have. Those two points into step advance are nice too). Put a point into Iron will and Warcry after all that and then decide if you want more ATK or more survival skills (even though Br/Hu has plenty of survivability).
Also, a quick note about the skill sim. If you hover over the skill; you can get some details about what it does and stuff.
Joseph Torres
I wish shitters would leave.
Jaxson White
>Automate It's worth having if you have some points in flash guards, izane/austere/massive hunter active but you have to be aware that some attacks will OHKO you during LB
I used your build and added points to the S-Atk boosts and then used the leftover 4 for more step advance since nothing else looked worth taking. Is it okay?
Austin Lee
Two points is enough for step advance. You could go for never give up or Warbrave with those left over points. Those last points would be gained once you've met the requirements to get level 80 and are on your way to do so.
Carson Diaz
So does sega just hate anything that might be challenging to anyone?
Nicholas James
I ended up going with never give up. Thanks, you saved me a lot of pain and heartache that comes from a bad build.
Dylan Morales
The only thing they do with challenging content is remove it

Remember last week when we were shitposting that it was the easiest raid boss in years

>spending millions on PA/Tech crafts instead of just rolling with the first one you get Enjoy your 0.1% damage increase
Kevin Hill
I tend to go for a cheap PP cost first and a decent power increase second
Bentley Collins
It's actually 2-8% or so depending on the craft
Angel Nguyen
It's alright maybe they'll reduce the % you get on your CFs to counter it
Nicholas Green
>current Nazan craft is +126% (Max of 173%) power and +0 PP >Every time I break 160% power it's something stupid like +6 PP
Daniel Davis
>People still using iron will and never give up on fighter Why?
John Wright
they expect to die with limit break on
Brandon Foster
I really wish techniques had the same amount of dps documentation that PAs have. I'd rather know how much damage I lose by having a Concentrated Ragrants stuck at -0.61s than be in the dark desperately trying to improve it. I've been thinking about leveling tech crafting myself so I can dump lilliparium and finish off all of my tech crafts once and for all instead of requesting crafts on 3 characters at all times.

Nice joke
Eli Mitchell
I have not failed a single Deus Esca and i only did it with pubs, be it expert or XH blocks. Was the DPS check really that hard?
Parker Edwards
What about ether factor
Benjamin Jones
Don't level crafting unless you want to throw away millions or are just really insistent on getting literally perfect crafts. Do you really need perfect crafts on techs like Barta, any -Zan that doesn't start with Na, dark techs that aren't gimegid, etc.? There's only 1-2 techs per element worth giving a shit about your craft of.
Caleb Thomas
OH never failed.
Gabriel Williams
In before they didn't change the dps check HP threshold, just how fast you get to it, and shitters still fail anyway
In before they actually did adjust the HP threshold and shitters still fail it anyway

I've been getting a lot of 500s from the casino pass machine lately

How can they when they get carried by someone out of OH :^)
Nathaniel Lee
clearly that way everybody's a winner.

the failure rate was high in XH blocks
he nerf needed to happen
Asher Kelly
If it's too hard why not do it on a difficulty you can? I recommend starting on normal and working your way up
Levi Allen
>XH blocks Who fucking cares. Improve or get left behind.
Ryder Collins
There aren't even enough expert blocks at this point for the playerbase unless they start filling vita blocks, at which point they risk vita players who are just as bad as non experts.
Ethan Garcia
...
Henry Reyes
The people on XH blocks are people with fresh 75s, no one has gear. You do know that not everyone who plays the game is some veteran, right? I was busy at the top of the hour a few days ago so I had to get a run outside expert blocks and both runs were the most god awful shit with people wearing unaffixed and ungrinded units. It's a 12 man group, you can't carry it yourself. The only constant in 12 man pubs are you and good luck doing 30m damage by yourself. It's not a big deal really but Deus Esca was basically wasn't doable outside expert blocks.
Deus is a fucking joke now. So much for ep 4 final boss.
Brandon Cruz
do casuals follow twitter accounts like that
Ethan Davis
Well that was easy as all fuck, thanks for removing any difficulty Shit 2

I didn't notice any real difference, but maybe that's because I hard carry every MPA I'm in
Jose Young
Thanks SEGA :)
Bentley Nguyen
>Turning the final boss of ep4 into a giant punchbag I think this is the best way to look at ep4 as a whole.
Liam Jones
The fight ends one minute sooner now, who cares? This game has never been hard so what's the difference, it's not like people ever failed PD even on launch day. Are you seriously trying to pretend you would enjoy the fight more if occasionally you got rolled a group of 11 leeches and you woke up at 5am in the morning to fail the EQ? If you rolled with friends already the fight was always a joke.
Felt like a 20-25% health nerf in final phase. Maybe slightly more, I didn't have parser running.
Hunter Gutierrez
>The people on XH blocks are people with fresh 75s, no one has gear. I'm not really sure about this assessment. You can't even accept this quest without your subclass also being level 75 as well. I mean, I hope by that point you would have cobbled together something decent enough to take in there.
Lincoln Miller
I liked seeing people die. Now it is just boring.
Kevin Fisher
The ONLY time I've failed was on a Vita Block that had Deus glitch out on me and two abandons
It wasn't even that hard and if anything it served as a huge wake up call
Tyler Clark
One thing I did notice aside from the weakening of his attacks is that we didn't even have to down him a second time for him to enter his second phase (serpent heads absent, rage mode wings thing).
Jeremiah Stewart
>techer hunter
Cooper Flores
The two runs I did were pretty fresh looking characters. Gryphon/Ideal units and sub 13* on half the MPA.
They needed to nerf Deus Esca for people like this because Sega has an obsession with only allowing one piece of content to be relevant at a time. Any other CF worth a shit was taken out so if you can't do Deus Esca, there's no point in playing. I'm no game dev but I can tell you that making it really fucking irritating for new players to get into your game is a bad idea. People love pointing to Wow being best when it was hardcore but forget that WoW didn't even come close to its peak playerbase until they added a lot of catch up mechanics and casual friendly activities. In PSO2 you grind experience (a fresh player needs 252 million experience to get their first 80/80 nowadays, compared to 80m to level cap prior to level 80) and then you grind for gear. Since Sega hates anything but the most recent EQ being ran, a new player has no choice but to run just that. If they absolutely need to be on expert blocks to complete the eq which they pretty much did, after they leveled they wait around 18-30 days depending on how much they can play if they don't want to spend SG and then they can get a welfare 13* which they got by running the exact same shit they just finished level capping in. Now that they're on expert blocks, they'll just replace that weapon within 2 weeks of running Deus Esca. I'm not sure about you, but this sounds like a complete dogshit game to get into if you weren't already playing pso2.
TLDR: The new player experience fucking SUCKS right now and nerfing Deus Esca was a bandaid for that until they work it out.

From 30m -> 20m roughly, for the final phase.
Aaron Ward
Stop appealing to shitters, that's all fucking SEGA has done in ep4 is appeal to the worst types in this game making it loot pinatas. I bet Sony had something to do with this
Jacob Hill
It's more of a design issue (i.e. the block system and the lack of a proper queue) that they've unfortunately decided to keep working around rather than overhaul, as opposed to an "obsession" with keeping the player base focused on one thing at a time.
Its shortcomings have become more pronounced in the past one or two years but but this is definitely something that can't be fixed overnight
Landon Wilson
I don't understand. I've never had a group fail the quest ever and they nerf it a week into it's introduction? They didn't do shit to nerf VR, which I think has had a much higher chance of failure.
Carter Diaz
he has ~20m less health now overall.
Angel Stewart
>people bitching about how easy pso2 is and how shitty it feels to play the game still
Why haven't you moved on to ffxiv yet?
Blake Sanchez
>moving to one easy shit loot pinata to another I'd rather be playing WoW.
Michael Cox
There's a very stark difference between a game being hard for new players to get into and a game that's unfun for new players to get into. The latter was the case and that's a good way to hurt your game. A videogame is supposed to be fun and a game company wants to make money, both of those were being hurt in this scenario. If you want to be a hardcore contrarian that doesn't matter how miserable a game is then apply to be sega director so you can make the level cap for new players 1 billion exp and force them to run 100 solo PD before they get to play any modern content.
Nathaniel Flores
if you ended up in a party with no Ranger or Techer and several people with tank builds then yes, things could get pretty hard.
Angel Cruz
Your game gave up trying to be hard after Living Liquid killed the game's raiding community for multiple raid tiers after, you can't really talk.
If people want difficulty why the fuck are they playing MMOs anyway?
