This guy is the original brainchild of Bloodborne. He pitched the idea to FROM SOFTWARE from within SIEJ and Miyazaki took reigns of the concept and turned into the masterpiece we know today. The sequel is in development under Yamagiwa-san. He was also largely in charge of The Old Hunters while Miyazaki was working on DS3.

I haven't been told what this guy is currently producing however it seems that he is working on a new IP separate from both Bloodborne and Soul Sacrifice Delta as he is not part of the team creating BB2.

Sony is continuing their contract with GEN Design as they are a prestigious development team with a strong fanbase and The Last Guardian performed in line with expectations. They are left to their own devices to create a new game.

Gravity Rush 2 under-performed however because of the positive fan and consumer response to the game despite good to middling review scores worldwide the team has been allowed to create a new game in a new franchise with the hopes of achieving higher success than the Gravity Rush and Siren IP did.

Has a 3 game deal with Sony which means he will direct 2 more games for Sony post Bloodborne. Sony can also trigger a clause in the contract for an auto renewal once the 3 games have been created meaning their relationship can go on much longer if their is success and Bloodborne makes it seem like that may be the case. Note that this is the exact same contract they had with Level 5 before it wasn't renewed by SIEJA after White Knight Chronicles under-performed.

Same deal as Miyazaki, since Kojima chose to use the Decima engine the game is being created solely for the PS4 and there is no production (or development since that started) for the PC version in case you ask. This wasn't the case as originally it seemed Kojima may have used a 3rd party engine.

There is a new Wild ARMs in development, it has been in development for about 1 year now, in case you haven't noticed Sony are reviving classic Japanese IP's that were once popular in Japan for mobile and console, this so far includes Wild ARMS and Arc the Lad. Media Vision and Michiko Naruke are involved with Wild ARMS however I'm not sure who the Director is.

In case you haven't realized yet, Sony are still focusing on single player campaign oriented action adventure RPG games as is evident with Horizon, God of War, Spiderman, etc however Japan is working on slightly smaller multiplayer focused titles.

They are also planning to being every - single - american - franchise - to the cinema. That means Spiderman, Uncharted, Horizon, God of War, etc.

Lastly Sucker Punch game is an action/adventure/RPG game in a CYBERPUNK setting.

People will still complain because the setting doesn't remove the microtransaction problem the series has.

I'm kinda excited about it myself. WWII games have been kinda dead for almost a decade if you exclude the more hardcore online shooters that are on PC.

When the games are set in the future and shit, having pink neon guns with weed leafs all over it, while snoop dog commentated, it seems okay.

But having actual historic locations, where millions died. It seems a little inappropriate. Not that it bothers me at all, but I can get why people would complain.

Are there any Western games left this year that have a chance at stacking up with all the Japanese ones released so far? I can only think of Red Dead Redemption 2, if it doesn't get delayed, and if the single-player delivers. Days Gone looks too much like The Last of Us to me--not a fan of horde-killing either. However, that, Detroit, Dreams, and WiLD could be 2018 games for all we know. Hopefully E3 gives us dates.
