Shoot at hist front left leg for the stagger.
climb and destroy the small nests. When he shakes you off, aim at the other leg. You can also use pierce, but its hard to aim because the movement makes the hitboxes become wonky and your shot ends being way too high usually.

When destroy the small nodes, enter the mouth and hit his big node.
You can finish that off with pierce. From the front when not inside it.

When he brings his metal gear again you do the same, but don't forget to use the antidragon bombs on the big node inside the mouth.
A few pierce shots to it should finish it off.

Oh and forget about using normal if not shooting the nodes at point blank, besides the wonky hitbox when moving, your shots will hit the walls even when you're firing inside the "neck" of the robot, so your shots won't reach the big node. I recommend using normal/pellet/whatever on the feet, and pierce on the nodes (unless you shoot at pointblank)
