I did like that patch, though, in hindsight
They broke it because their sharding/CRZ systems are coded so badly that it allowed people to all pile onto one server and never get removed. They could have just made it so you always get transferred back to your own realm and there would have been no problem, but they broke the most useful and most widely downloaded addon of this entire expansion without even attempting to create an alternative baseline functionality because their dev team is full of lazy fuckwit code monkeys.
I can safely any time i was phased i had no lag issues at all. It was either people lagged because they got phased into oceanic or br realms that run like shit or they're playing on a compaq presario connected via burger king wifi

The one thing people can't complain about Legion is content.
It's the second patch, and there's nearly as much content as there (potentially) was at the end of MoP, which was a massively content rich game.
There's so many little things to do in the world, all the raids are still relevant for AP/Legendaries, Mythic+ makes dungeon progression viable and so on.
