So I'm running an ARC build with 70 ARC using the HMS and I feel like it's not hitting hard enough.
I'm using a Cold Abyssal, a 27.2 Arcane triangle and a 22.3 Arcane Radial. Am I doing something wrong? I've only got the base STR/SKL required to wield it.

Adella only attacks if you use like 2 or 3 of Arianna's, Adella doesn't affect the other NPCs. Old Lady won't die if you ignore her after getting 3 Sedatives, Skeptic Man doesn't die in general, Adella neither nor Chapel Dweller. They're only in risk if you send the Suspicious Beggar to the Chapel.

I've got a low level skill character to mix things up a bit and help people co-op, I've got some pretty alright gems (18% phys from chalice dabbling) and I have the saif, reiter, burial blade, and church pick all at +7 with shit loads of fire paper. I've been using the saif mostly and just got the church pick, and while it does have every goddamn modifying buff built into it, I kinda wanna use the burial blade instead. Even though it can't be buffed would I still be offering some significant help with the bb? Church pick is great and all, I love it, but I've used it too much I feel and it's moveset is a little stale. As a side note, what are your thoughts on twinks for co-op? Just as bad as invaders or helpful? Just looking to start some conversation, hope your days are going well /bbg/.

Fire Paper only adds +80 flat damage, so it isn't a major loss not being able to use it on BB. Gems and weapon upgrade alone will be enough to help with anything. Twinking can be fun whether you're invading or co-oping imo.

I'd cut 5 from Vit and put it into Str, 45 with 2 Clocks already gets you 1800 HP. 50 gets you an extra 96 HP iirc.

Not sure, really depends on how much fire defense the enemy has. I'd imagine lower than 80 since nothing has 0 Fire defense but I could be wrong.

How do I go about a chikage build for PVE and PVP?

What weapons do I use early game? Where do I align my stats early game?

It's rough. I once got summoned for Ludwig by a guy in Executioner's Garb with the Cainhurst Helm using an LHB, and his buddy was in the same attire with a Chikage. I did most of the heavy lifting for the fight, survived a charge to put him in phase 2.

Military Veteran: 40+/10+/14/15/50/6. For ez start, pump Vit, grab a Saw, keep upgrading it while using BB Pellets and Papers till Logi. If you want to use Blt early, buy a Repeating Pistol and shoot shit. Rifle Spear is a bit of a poor weapon to use since the shots are crap. Right after Amelia you can rush to the DLC and kill Simon early for Bowblade.

Why Military Veteran for the Chikage? I'd think it'd be easier to take Lone Survivor or any Skl-heavy starter, you aren't wasting four points on Str. Even if you're losing a few to the starting Arc, you're losing less than the four in Str.
And why is everyone so hell-bent on killing Simon? It doesn't take all that long to get the Bowblade without killing him, at least if you know what you're doing.

Bloodletter needs 14 Str to use. Lone Survivor would be better if you don't intend to use it. Killing Simon early is just an option, fastest way to get a Blt weapon and you won't have to fight Ludders, Fayyliures and Maria for it.

BLT has very little variety so the 14STR is for Bloodletter.
Everyone who kills based Simon is just an asshole.

Sorry about the spacing, friend. I always ring at the fog so it's very rare to see invaders, but in the rare scenario that we do get invaded I swap to an unupgraded weapon to not be a dick, unless they're a twink too. I just do it because it's fun to help people with something other than defiled hotdog or Amy in chalices. Plus it's nice to get messages from people who thank you for helping them with a boss they've been stuck in forever. Sorry if that makes me "self-righteous" or whatever, but I guess I can see what you're saying.

How good is untricked Bloodletter with 27 or 50 STR? As long as it's not Fist of Gratia tier I want to try it out a little.

The only reason I wasn't accounting for the Bloodletter was because referenced only the Chikage. With that in mind, that adds up.
Untricked Bloodletter is like the untricked Chikage, it's only there to convert to a much stronger form, and not particularly useful.

Not Fist of Gratia tier but good enough to beat basic mobs down as long as you aren't running full OoS gems. Range and moveset is pretty poor, similar to Tonitrus.

I don't know why the fuck you'd do that, but it's probably the 27.2. You don't need OoS if you get the Lost Chikage.

Why that distribution? The Chikage really shines on Blt builds, is average otherwise.

I don't know why I stopped at 45 SKL, but it was my first build and I don't feel like grinding through all of the chalices and the main game to make another one that has better distribution.

You get wasted points in Arc and possibly End if you stick to base with Prof. Only reason to start with that is if you plan on leveling Arc and End a bit.

Chicago is poor on a Skill build over Blt but since you've got Skill that high you might as well stick to Pure Phys since it increase Blood as well.

Mensis prays to Kos to achieve eyes, similar to the aims of those who first found Kos.
The significance for the Orphan can be interpreted in a few ways. I see it as the origin of the three third cords we find throughout the game. One third went to the hunters (found in the Abandoned Workshop), one third went to the Church (found on the fake Iosefka after the Blood Moon), and one third went to Byrgenwerth (used by Mensis for the Mergo ritual).
We don't know who says Kosm, but meme man has probably forgotten more about the Great Ones than we would ever know. I'm sure someone out there does.
This is just my own interpretation of it, you'll probably get different answers from different people.
