The mechanics they promise have been done in older MMOs/MUDs for decades, unfortunately, implementing all that shit in an actual full 3D game takes a shit ton of time and effort, which isn't something these devs want to/can sacrifice.

Depends on game mode.
Mesmers are top tier in pvp and can probably 1v1 and 2v1 people if you are really good. Ele's run a very tank defensive build so it's pretty annoying to kill one 1v1.

I had a couple items but I found out they made them sort of redundant by adding something through a content update and I asked if it was possible to refund them and the guy is like yeah and then a new asshole swooped in to say nope sorry lol. I'll try again on Halloween. GMs are always nice around "holidays", they've previously refunded gems to me while letting me keep the item.

I don't think I'm jewing the system if the item was unused or unopened and I give a legitimate reason why I believe it's eligible for a refund. Like they added a new thing in an update that made the item largely useless.
