Depending on what you're looking at, the prices still haven't recovered from the last boost week. A lot of things I was watching went up 80-100% in price for boost week and are still at those prices now, they wouldn't go that much higher anyway. If you're a hoarder just wait a few months for the next 10% and see if prices just become comically large. It's not the worst to sell right now if you need the money though.

So I haven't actually played in ages - what's the best way to work with this new grinding system on weapons? Finally got my 13* NT since apparently my OTs are effectively worthless now, but not sure what the deal is with grinding them.

I have some Emper Embrace items from getting a Rappy Festival key, though I'm not fully sure what that entails on them. I legitimately have no idea what I am doing.

That isn't nearly enough. A +35 NT 13* is like 11,000 experience or something. One emper embrace is around 190 or something.

If you want to save lambda grinders, fuse the Emper Embrace into 12* NT and then use that to grind your 13*.
Or just grind your 13* directly with them.

I haven't played in ages either and only just came back.
Here's a couple tips that I picked up.

Grinding takes a lot of meseta and Lambda grinders, but both can be obtained through many other means that Tacos nowadays.

Meseta:
>Daily quests (some give 100k+), and some require you to turn in a rare fishing/mining material. Get in the habit of mining and fishing when you have full 100/100 stamina. You need the materials for rings and dailies
>Gathering TACOs (for lack of a better name). A guy in Franka's Cafe wants 6 different rare gathering items. He offers 100k for one of each, totalling 600k a week. If you have a lot of these materials, you can simply make alts, withdraw them from your shared storage, and turn in on each alt for 600k each.
>Tacos. Sugar Daddy Klotho has some new Tacos for you. Instead of 4VH1SH, it's not 4VH1SH + 2N + 2EX.
>Drops. Affix Boost is coming up, and good affix fodder is always in demand. Pick up your 4s+ units and weapons off the ground and you might be surprised on how much they're worth.

Lambda Grinders:
>Casino Coins: If you're not a fan of gambling all day, simply convert your casino passes into coins and buy Lambda grinders for 250CC each. You can buy (20?) a week.
>Zeig COs: The holy grail of Lambdas. You can get 30+ on a fresh alt just by doing his dailies. If you ever need Lambdas RIGHT NOW, you can make a new character, get it to hard difficulty, and suck Zeig's robotic cock for a load of hot steamy lambdas.
>EQs like mother drop 3 lambdas
>Gal Gryphon drops lambdas guaranteed in his loot pile on XQ. 1-3 usually.

You use Nox because they are easy to get, any 12* will do. If you grind up Nox you only need to spend a few lambdas on the 13*. The downside is that in terms of meseta it's much more expensive. If you feed an NT as a fodder, you only get half as much experience as it cost to get that fodder to where it was.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, no one cares about a 5% boost week. The rich players have all moved on to affixes that need 10%.

200 is enough for a few weapons with Emper Embrace grinding.

If you want a slightly more meseta expensive but vastly lower lambda usage method, simply save up your Dio-series (10*) weapons from EQs and grinding, then mash them together to make +30 Dios.
Save up all your Dios for mashing, then do a Mother/Deus EQ for the +30% very successful boost, and then mash them together while trying to get as many very successfuls as possible to save fodder/meseta.

Honestly I have 95m meseta sitting around so it's probably not a huge deal if I have to spend a few mil on it. Problem is I keep ending up saving a good chunk of my drops as affix fodder which I should SERIOUSLY sort though now the pile is getting retarded but I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and start smashing everything together.

Fucking hell. I just need one more Ray unit for my second union set but it seems like whenever I go to do Amd UQ it's either dead, or the pugs are beyond shit. I keep getting matched up with shitters using luxe/ideal units and + 0 c file 13*, shitty techers that don't buff, forces that do no damage, moment gale spammers, I even saw a few hu/su cucks the past few days. Haven't seen an S in god knows how long, average time of 1 run is like 10 minutes. I just want to escape this hell.

Sounds pretty typical of pug runs desu. Back when it was more active, you had a mixed bag of 13 minute runs and sub 7 minute runs. Best just go with a group of good people than deal with pugs.

You have so much storage available as a f2p player between three free character slots so not really. Inventory expansions on the other hand are worth every penny.

Just keep spamming it, with the rdr boost, you'll get what you need eventually. s-rank's help with rare drop rate, but even if you arent getting s-ranks, you can abuse the party boost for more.

People underestimate lightning techs, they're actually insanely good vs lightning weak mobs. During the last boost week i saw this nip fo/te in my pug mpas who was carrying hard consistently doing 30-50% more damage than the people in 2nd. he was mostly using custom zonde and zandion. Got all S ranks until i got separated from him and a few others, thankfully I only had to suffer around an hour's worth of runs until I got the 2 units i needed and didn't have to run with cancer pugs for the rest of the week.

I'm not saying lightning isn't good, it's been good for a very long time. Zonde is a really good tech even without type-0 craft (personally I don't like it) never mind the other good lightning techs. It's just that the only people with lightning trees paid money for extra trees since no one would pick it over the other two elements because Ice is meta relevant and casuals love fire.
