it doesn't have forced tripping when walking backwards and the forced random events that costs attributes whatever your choice is. it has white walkers, ability to have children that becomes companions, the ability to execute lords (not sure about sending them to the wall), you must make/buy ships to be able to cross the sea, it is built with the VC engine so it has upstab among other cool VC features. that's from the top of my head only.

How often should I be losing men? I usually try to not have any deaths, but that causes me to play really cautiously and not make any progress. I'm playing modded 1257 if that helps.

If you are playing as a merceary and with Lance system, then losing men should be nothing
The only true losses are elite knights
