"Competitive" settings from le reddit.
Generally speaking "more fps = better" especially if you play with a 144/120hz monitor, "less distraction = better" and a clear image is also important if your pc can handle it. Most high ranked players in any shooter game will agree.

Step 1:
Check the power settings on your computer so they are set to "high performance" instead of the defaulted "balanced"
Change your graphic card driver settings to be more performance-oriented (just google nvidia or amd driver settings)
Step 2:
Right click on the Game in Steam
Click on 'Properties'
Click on 'Set launch options'
Add "-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -malloc=system -sm4" to the text box (without quotes)
You might want to test "-lowmemory" if you got 8gb or less ram (for now, game has memory leak, restart the game after every match)
"-sm4" changes shaders from dx11 to dx10, it does remove some distractive reflections and marks on the screen (scope glares fixed!)
"-malloc=system" forces windows to handle the memory allocation
Step 3:
Go to ingame settings/graphics
Turn up "Brightness" to your preference to see enough in dark corners etc.
Change "Anti-Aliasing" to "Very Low" (Note: This game uses "FXAA" or something similar. It doesn't really cost much performance to use however everything gets blurry and might even cause headache! If you want a clearer image there are other options. However some people don't like to play with flickering edges. In this case try to play on "High" or "Ultra")
Change "Shadow Quality" to "Very Low" (Note: use "Low" if you can't handle the blocky shadows indoors)
Change "Post-Processing Quality" to "Very Low" (Note: Removes saturation/bloom, increases visibility)
Change "Texture Quality" to anything (Note: Depends on your graphics card VRAM and personal preference. Some pro's say its harder to see an enemy in high quality textures. Check your fps while changing this setting. Some people might experience higher fps with higher textures right now due to cpu overload. This settings increases quality a lot while not losing much visiblity)
Change "Effects Quality" to "Very Low" (Note: If you still want a better looking game without sacrificing visiblity a lot then this is one of the settings to change)
Change "Foliage" to "Very Low" (Note: Removes a LOT of bushes/grass)
Disable "Motion Blur"
Reduce your Screen Scale (Note: Depends heavily on your graphics card. Strong cards won't get a high average ingame-fps increase here and should stay at 100 @native resolution to maintain good pixel quality)
If you can't handle a bad looking game but want to maintain good visibility just increase Texture a lot, Effects a bit and Shadows to "Low"
Step 4 (Advanced, skip if you don't want to lose any fps)
These Settings only improve visibility and might cost few fps, only use them if you want the clearest image possible. Note that I play with very low textures:
Open C:\Users\PC NAME\AppData\Local\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Open the "GameUserSettings" file in the "WindowsNoEditor" folder.
Change value from "sg.ResolutionQuality" to "sg.ResolutionQuality=100.000000" (Recommended!)
Change value from "sg.ViewDistanceQuality" to "sg.ViewDistanceQuality=3"
Change value from "ScreenScale" to "ScreenScale=120.000000" (skip if you don't want to lose 10-12fps average, might be even more depending on your setup but this helps a bit against not having anti-aliasing)
Make the file "read-only" (Note: keep in mind that any settings ingame won't be saved, just remove it, change your settings and put it back on with all changes)
Add " -d3d10" as a additional startoption in steam (Note: "-d3d10" includes "-sm4", removes some shadows for example, you might lose some fps or get weird textures, not recommended)

In Pochinki you can run and jump from the top of a three story building that has roof access to the other rooftop next to it. I think some user uploaded a video example last time. Its in the center of town and covers a lot of rooftops, pretty nifty

Should have been more clear in the first post. The game by default seems to not let itself have enough bandwidth which could be the cause of some of the problems with desync in firefights. Setting the bandwidth the game is allowed to have in the engine file basically removes whatever the default cap is. The game is never going to actually take 50Mbps, but you get the idea.

In my experience, yeah. I didn't try any other commands since I have no idea what they do but in my case the game was struggling with not having enough RAM.
I've got the use all available cores command on, i had to activate vsync aswell because i was getting mad screen tearing, i get solid 60fps now though. The anti-aliasing is fucking shit on this game though, it's like it isn't even on, it doesn't smooth anything out and makes my hair have some weird bug where half of it isn't really visible.

It's bullshit, I've found if you press tab your game freezes and then fixes it but it freezes for too long and then the circle is already closing in so you don't have time to loot

Last game I was looting a supply drop when a guy ran towards me. I shot at him but he forced me into cover, then when I came out I saw him run i nto a bush. While I was shooting into the bush he slipped around the crate and shot me in the back and I was like "I have literally seen this exact thing happen to someone on liveleak"

I have terrible luck with long-range shooting, I can only think of a couple clean long-ranged kills I've made. I like to follow people into towns and wait outside the house they're looting. Nobody's ready for a fight as they open a door I've noticed.
It's best when they don't even realize what's happening until it's too late. Burst a guy with an uzi as he comes into your house and he just pitches forward and lands on his face.
I like to stalk people and then shoot them from mid-range in the woods, or lie in waiting and pop anyone moving through an area with sufficiently sparse cover. I really dislike anything remotely urban.

I land in either the powerplant, Georgeopol, gun range, school, or military base, based on plane trajectory, literally every game. Early game clusterfucks are the best.
I've won probably 2 dozen matches and most kills I've gotten in a single game is 18.
Nothing feels better than having 6 kills and one of the best loot locations in the game completely yours by the second circle.
Only downside is I die a lot. Win percent is probably somewhere around 3-8%. I have fun tho.

I'm a close-range man myself. I like urban areas, where I can use the double-barrel and UMP/Vector. Mini-Uzi is decent, but somewhat inaccurate for my tastes. I just wish the damn Vector actually showed up more often.

People are annoyed not because you can't drive through it, they're annoyed because it's almost impossible to spot as being there before it's too late, and because of how the game's physics work, hitting it while driving at any real speed means you're going to flip and likely die.
