When Toyotas small econoshitbox is faster then the GT86. Pure comedy gold.

Of course its faster than a subaru

it's faster because they can't trust the buyers in that market segment to handle fast RWD cars.

they'd get sued into oblivion by soccermoms of fuccbois who wrapped around trees.

What happened to the "E" and "A" in that name?

This isn't coming to the states is it :(

Wtf; with that logic, Ford would be bankrupt because of the Mustang.

>mnneeuuuu hurr burb *gurgles*

most moms of boomers can't sue from the grave though

Eggramen?

Mustang is NOT in the same market position as a Yaris or GT86.

>400 units being made

*yawn*

>prototype

Also it costs 30,000 THOUSAND eurobucks.

46K € here

It's not you twat

29k € in Germany that's fine for me

really made me think

>Gazoo Racing Master of Nürburgring
>econoshitbox
Ayy lmao.

Also, after putting stock sized PSS on my 86 it does 0-60 in 6 seconds as well, torque measured a 5.97 on a stretch of clean and grippy road.

86 GRMN engine swap when?

400 being made, €29900, and it's being compared to a production model Fiesta.

If you have to ask if it's better than the standard, it's probably not better. Even if its a limited run, track oriented hot hatchback.

>220hp
>econo

COOLSTORY

So you really believe that the Yaris wasn't designed as a Econobox? Wow

Is an LS swapped econobox still and econobox?
Doesn't the 86 qualify as an econobox as well?

>try to polish an ugly duckling with a paint job
>just make it uglier
Toyota, please take your design department out back and shoot them

So the Focus RS is an eco shitbox then too right? It's a focus, so it's totally designed as a cheap A-B car with no thrills, right?

Yes a 1.8l engine really is the same like an LS V8 swap, thanks for enlighten me.

>A masterclass in making the Fiesta ST look weak
>Prototype

There's one problem you fucking car media faggot, the ST is a normal production car meanwhile your shitpile is not.

Why isn't there just ONE good car media outlet.

Why is it so angery

So, it wouldn't be an econobox anymore if it had an V8, where do you draw the line? Wherever you want to in order to win the argument?
>Gazoo Racing Master of Nürburgring
Absolutely doesn't sound more econobox than LS swap to be quite honest.

>FWD
>30,000 europoor bux
>Ugly as fuck
>Delusional niggers unironically think this is better than the GT86

>limited run factory tuned car
Wow, OP

>30k for a fucking yaris
lmao

>faster in straight line
>faster on the track
So why is the GT86 the better performance car again?

Reminder that Veeky Forums would prefer an LS swapped Fiat Multipla over the 86 if it had high skidpad numbers.

inb4 what's wrong with the Multipla

>AE86 was slow but handled well
>people like it for the dorifto
>0-60fags whine that it's slow
>Toyota makes a next generation 86
>0-60fags whine that it's slow
I hear the NTHSA is hiring crash test dummies

>Pajeet overtakes you in his TOYOTA YARSI
>"sorry Kid nothing personal"
Fuck I would buy this Yaris just to leave GT86 drivers in tears

>4 km/h higher top speed
>somewhere around a third of a second faster to 60
>faster to the point where 86 drivers would cry

>muh faster lap times!!111
If you are getting it to cart your groceries around, why would it matter? FWD isn't as good of a platform, get over it.

>slower then a fwd Yaris
>rwd GT86 is superior
I really can't follow your arguments my friend.

>nearly 2 seconds faster 0-100kph
>fucking 4(!!) seconds faster 0-160kph
GT86 drivers on suicide watch

That's some nice numbers you made up there.
Two can play this game though.
My stock '96 Geo Metro does 0-100kph in under 4 seconds, and 0-160kph just under 9 seconds. Yaris drivers on suicide watch.

rwd > fwd for racing.

>they'd get sued into oblivion by soccermoms of fuccbois who wrapped around trees.

Why does america let this happen? How in the fuck can you even possibly think of suing the company you crashed the car on your own fault?

You'd get laughed here in yuropoor and probably get fined just for thinking about it

>rwd > fwd for racing.
rwd > fwd for everything except boot size and production cost

...

The numbers Toyota posted for 0-100kph never got proven in track testing. Some car magazines even tested him around 8seconds

>an electronically limited 143mph top speed
Meanwhile I'm easily reaching 150mph on my daily commute.

youtube.com/watch?v=8WzEBMOE7AI
This is perfectly in line with what I'm experiencing in my own 86. I don't care that some retard in an autotragic with the traction control on took 8.5 seconds to 60 and lost to a Pacifica.

>fined for thought crimes
How fitting for Europe

>doing 150 in America
>go to prison for 10 years

I'm German :^)

no joke, in some shitholes like st louis, your penalty for a hit and run is lower than your penalty for speeding

...

that's because nigs hit and run so often so they had to lower the penalty to appear less racist

Not always true. Depends on what kind of racing. FWD is better for rally, which is what the hot hatch is based after. Even if the WRC yaris is a totally different beast.

Also Honda kinda showed that their fwd shitbox is faster than a lot of rwd and mid engine rwd cars.

and being stable in shit weather, but there's so many AWD cars that doesn't even matter anymore

I also never notice the trunk space thing. I don't have little shithead kids runnin around so

Not even my mom has problems with an RWD car in shit weather, including very heavy rain and snow.

No rear diff means you can put the tank lower, which means you can have a deeper trunk. It's not much really, but one of the two reasons FWD cars have become the norm.

>Not the same market
>Ecoboost Mustang: 26195$
>GT86: 26225$

GT86 fanbois are deluded

I hope Subaru makes a Subaru BR-Z BGMOS (baboo grand masters of suzuka)
