i know its early, but have any of you tried misano? on quali fuel and soft tyres im running out of energy like 60% through the lap even with the high preserve mode, this shouldn't be happening
maybe its just audi specific and the fact that i set the track to green (which is what the servers are usually set to i think???) but pls respond
Not all tracks allows you to leave auto deploy on throughout the lap
The R18 and TS040 have far less deployment than the 919, so if you've been used to that one that's probably why you are confused
Also a 1.28.5 is my best time on mediums and 30L fuel if you want a goal to aim for

yes i know that, its just that on the least energy consuming mode and low amounts of slip, the ERS deployement goes up to full no matter the mode which shouldn't be happening, i was thinking that the reason is the 'Green' track condition, but i dont remember getting this at silvestone, im guessing the ers deployement is kinda fucked since its a mod track??
anyway, lap was done on 15L and softs so im not doing too bad i guess

Alright, so the last race of BYOSB is upon us, and gg to Blackdog; provisional series winner unless he doesn't show up which probably won't happen.
So for the fun race on the nords I've decided that we'll run a stock Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) '89 in honor of Kraid. It's the premium one, btw.

GT4 is the most spectacular game on PS2. You're right about GT6, but it seems PD got sentimental about having two games in each generation.
Since Studio 397 took over, the sim has gone from mediocre to superb, I bought lifetime membership at the outset hoping it would get better but since they took over it far exceeds my expectations

So, funny story from last night, I was on Telegram shitposting about PC's and a guy came on and said he was building this crazy powerful PC so he could play Forza Horizon 3. So I did the normal thing and said "God at least aim for Assetto Corsa or something" and you know what he said? That FH3 and Forza 6 are the best racing sims.

Tokyo Extreme drift 1and 2 user. I still play two from time to time the second game has the largest car roster in the entire series.
Pretty fun, physics are kind of dated but it's a PS2 game and conquest mode is basically modeled after initial D type of race culture and every person you meet is literally a Veeky Forums personality.
Enjoy putting 80 + hours in that game.

Well it's an Eden game. It follows the Eden formula: good ideas, painful core gameplay.
Yeah, but the original TDU was so much better in terms of handling and car feel. That's why I hate TDU2 so much, I guess I expected a lot from it and it failed to deliver in almost every single aspect.
True as long as you stay in the flat areas. Hill areas are painful to drive because of the terribly low road quality.
It was alright. The idea of bringing shitboxes and race them is good.
My opinion on the one-offs races before the main races is already known: they suck and uselessly delay the start of the actual event. If they could be gone for the soccer moms series that will be starting next week, with the start of the race proper moved to the start time of the one-off race it would be a net improvement of the series.
Also user generated tracks kinda suck. Wouldn't mind not touching them for the next series in soccer mom cars.
And very disappointed fat sedans weren't retained because that would have been a very good idea.

The offroad school is literally hell but if you set up your controls like -pic related- you'll be able to do mad rally skidz

Nascar Dirt to Daytona and Driven to Destruction (known as Test Drive: Eve of Destruction in some regions)
Nascar D2D has 4 tiers of oval racing (dirt street stocks, modifieds, trucks and cup cars) and a nice career mode where you work your way up these series
Driven to Destruction is made by the same developer and drives really similar because of that. The game focuses on derbys and has a ton of different game modes to represent all the kinds of forms of racing that happens at these events and it's really fun. It might be the most realistic demoltion derby game there is out there
Nascar D2D works perfectly fine on PCSX2 but Driven to Destruction has these wierd graphical glitches. It's wierd because both games use the same engine but it's not something completely game breaking though and if it really annoys you, you can play around with the Skipdraw option to fix it. Otherwise, it's fine

Kinda. Don't expect much though, it's just a small hubworld rather than a full on open world. You can just drive to the garage or car shop or whatever but you can also fast travel to all these places if you don't want to
It's probs as fiddly as GT4. Disable all speed hacks, disable hardware graphics and see what happens.
If it's the same as GT4, go to emulation settings and set clamping to normal

I hate how at every gearchange there is a clunk sound. Is there a way to eliminate this?
I haven't heard any clunk while up/downshifting. Maybe you're hitting the road, try turning down the SFX volume in the settings.
I mean look at this, there are car mods that add cars without replacing others. TDU2 was technically a huge failure due to poor optimization but if you get over that and the horrible cutscenes. You've got a good cruising game.
