Why aren`t you driving a diesel?

I am.

I do except I'm not a huge faggot about it.

Theres no diesel motorcycles unfortunately, otherwise I would ride them.

I would drive a diesel truck but not a diesel car.

>coal rolling
Retarded
>reliable
If you get a pre-emissions one
>lots of tork
I like decent tork and decent revs from oversquare engines instead of no revs at all
Also nobody made a damn diesel for any of the vehicles I consider buying.

>runs envirofag tears

Not since they started making you buy urea and using DPF burners etc...

No ones making you buy a new diesel

Pre-emissions are great though

because im American

I hope every fucking hick who thinks coal rolling is cool flips their shitty truck.

Also diesels sound like shit.

youtu.be/NJP2GKPj4KE
Make your own then senpai

you'd be laughed at if you showed up to a touge in a diesel. slow and gay

Because:
>The parts are big
>The tools are big
>The parts are expensive
>The fluids are expensive
>Theyre very dirty

I feel like people who are jejbrotrucksXD have never truly worked on them. Having rebuilt a diesel, I don't think I'll ever own one - ever.

>dream of a 99 3/4ton cummins
>stuck with my half ton ford with small block
One day

Sounds better than a Harley,

But diesels arent even that much bigger and heavier than equivalent petrols, what are you talking about?

LD28 master race

They only offer it on really high end trucks in Murica. Only other carmakers offering it was VW (ha) and Mercedes. And I won't touch either with a 10 foot, er, 3 meter pole.

Assuming constant displacement, diesel parts are much beefier - it's how they deal with constant knocking. A engine bay shot will not do that justice.

Take apart a power stroke and a vortec and you will see this.

Because I enjoy high revs and going fast. I also don't like dick, so sorry.

there is also bmw and jaguar
jaguar 100% does not market its cars

A diesel engine in a truck will add $10000 to it's price new...

Diesels sounds shit compared to my v8. Only good sounding diesel what I have heard is the Scania v8 and I do not need a semi.

I want to put the 2.8 Duramax in my Jeep Wrangler

>Audi
>diesel
>S-line
>not a huge faggot

I work on HD trucks (15+ liter diesel engines) professionally and if you can't deal with the size of the parts you are 100% bitch.

sissy bitch doesn't like having to stand on a tire to work on something

And I've worked with 50L stationary generators. There are tools for everything: doesn't mean I like it.

Dealing with the piss juice and all the bullshit that goes with it is annoying. DPF systems dump fuel to "clean" themselves. Annoying when you have to run errands in -35, Idling the whole time cancels out the fuel savings. Yes I know grid heaters are a thing.

If I'm in the market for a 1 ton truck then yeah it's going to be a diesel but gas is superior for everything else.

If they made a diesel camry I'd never need another car

ur mum is big and expensive and dirty

>honda civic tier torque

fuck your frame

Shittily designed pickups with 1200 lbs engines are a bitch to work on.

Actual trucks all the way from Jap kei trucks to fucking mining trucks can have any engine weight and be much easier to work on since everything is easily accessible and you already have hoists for heavy shit because you are in a man's world.

>Take apart a power stroke and a vortec and you will see this.

Who would be surprised to find smaller con rods in a 2.2 GM vortec and heavier ones in a 7.3 Ford powerstroke?

I mean shit I bet the only "three" diesels you know are

>POWERSTROKE
>CUMMINS
>DURAMAX

And I guarantee you have actually said "I'd rather be Cummin than stroking" at least once in your life.

Only in the US

Cummins straight 6s are some of the worst sounding engines I've ever heard. There was some hick faggot who lived at my old apartment complex who would sit in his straight-piped 2500 and idle for 15-20 minutes straight (a friend and I timed it a few times), it sounded more like farts than any shitbox Civic I've ever heard.

>have to fill up with DEF every 3000 miles
>rolling coal is for faggots
nigga please. I run a drywall contracting business and have to haul thousands of pounds of sheetrock. Diesels are nice but pretty shitty in the 21st century

Canada too...I priced out a new Doge Ram with a Diesel back in the mid nineties...Cummins diesel with an Allison trans was $10000 over the v8 gasser...$55k plus tax and tags out the door...single cab long box 4x4...

I'm glad you cherry picked a 2.2 L to support your argument. Surely you are smart enough to not ignore the l96 as well as the 6.0 PS :^]

In road vehicles, in the USA, yes that's what I know best. I usually work with generac, caterpillar, and shitty Chinese generators outside of that.

Thanks for your reaching. You must be really smart.

>Why aren`t you driving a diesel?
Why not LPG
>>high MPGs
LPG doesn't cost shit, so fuck the mpg
>>reliable
My car has 700k km, never had to replace the lpg pump or anything unusual
>>lots and lots of TORK
Shift better
>>runs on envirofag tears
Eco fags can btfo when you ask what their prius runs on if the battery is empty (protip: it's gas, i.e. my landbarge is more ecofriendly)
>>choking bitches by rolling Big Black Coal
Gas the kikes in parking garages

Diesel engines are imo:
>heavy as fuck
>stronger, but way more expensive to fix
>cant rev for shit
>sounds like you're driving a tractor
>tunability - not exactly sleepers when a retune is accompanied by a cloud of black smoke every time you step on it.
I still have a diesel wagon tho, but only use it to move and tow shit around.

But they're so slow...

>he's so fat that a civic engine isn't enough to move his lard-ass around

I have an oldsmobile d block.
So shit.
So I stuck it I'm my classic 77 celica for the lols.

I do

Horrible sound, horrible vibrations (4cyl), narrow power band, even more narrow torque band, expensive maintenance, much higher mechanical complexity - lower reliability, super expensive injectors that don't last, super expensive high pressure fuel pump that don't last, turbo, dual mass flywheel, dual mass crank pulley, hydraulic engine mounts, no heat in winter, can't use fuel bought in summer during winter.

It uses around 25-30% less fuel tho and has some torques even at idle - I've been offroading it for years and it never ever stalled on me.

Than there's ecological aspect, shit stinks and blows black sooth so that can't be good.

>>high MPGs
I get 60 anyways
>>reliable
NA toyota engine with low median piston speed, a diesel can´t be more relieable
>>lots and lots of TORK
No revs
>>runs on envirofag tears
Can´t run it in city
>>choking bitches by rolling Big Black Coal
Makes car dirty

Also:
>needs urea
>heavy
>taxes are expensive asfuck
>needs half a chemical plant to pass emissions

at least modern VW diesels have no torque whatsoever at idle. compare that to any old indirect injected diesel which is harder to stall.

>likes high revs
>doesnt like the dick

liar

>tfw nissan is about to make a diesel available in the frontier
>mazda cx-5 too
being a burger slightly got better

Because all diesels are slow as shit. Enjoy getting BTFO by a civic for 3k without any simple mods.

all decent diesels get to 100 km/h in about 5 seconds or so

>never having raced a biturbo diesel a8 on the autobahn and getting stomped on like its nothing
burgers when will they learn

a chipped v8 tdi a8 btw back before the german car industry started giving a shit about the environment

>Envirofag tears
More like tears of the future.

I do
Being faster off the line compared to 70% of the other cars is amazing
I love little golf or bmw babies thinking they have the TORKS to beat me

I do in fact own a tractor.

me too

Diesels are taxed into oblivion, for example.

Road tax for the diesel equivelant of a petrol car is 3-4 that of the petrol.

For example puny 1.3 jtd punto shitbox, €1200 in taxes yearly.

Just for having it in your driveway.

I am.

I pay 105€ yearly in road tax.
Where do you live?

A friend of mine just bought a 900cc petrol Clio and he pays exactly the same.
You're taxed by displacement and CO2 emissions, where I live.

You are confusing the amount of energy released from the fuel with increased mileage. A hybrid petrol motor will far outperform your shitty NOX generating tractor engine

...

kekd

But there are some diesel bikes, actually.

>lots and lots of TORK
rev's > torkz, always has and always will be.

>>tfw nissan is about to make a diesel available in the frontier

They have had diesels for decades

I do, and I don't like it.
>slow as fuck
>MPGs are sub-par because I have to floor it to accelerate with the same pace as the rest of the traffic
>noisy in surburban areas, deafening on a highway
>takes more oil and a much more expensive oil filter than petrols
>a real cunt to work

That last one is more Mitsubishi's fault than it being a diesel, but still, fuck it. Not worth it for the torque, and reliability is more dependent on how you look after the car than anything else.

>slow as fuck
It's an old diesel.

>MPGs are sub-par because I have to floor it to accelerate with the same pace as the rest of the traffic
It's an old diesel.

>noisy in surburban areas, deafening on a highway
It's an old diesel.

>takes more oil and a much more expensive oil filter than petrols
It's an old diesel.

I know.

I wouldn't own a new diesel either.

>tunability - not exactly sleepers when a retune is accompanied by a cloud of black smoke every time you step on it.

A well tuned diesel doesn`t actually smoke that much.

youtube.com/watch?v=dKc7d73yOSs

>m-muh diesel makes superior torque
"that engine in particular doesnt"
>y-yeah w-well... YOU'RE FAT

u really showed them whos boss

>buying a diesel with common rail injectors, DPF and DMF.

You are literally asking for it.

>having to constantly ride with 3500+ rpms on the highway.

>A hybrid petrol motor will far outperform your shitty NOX generating tractor engine

Maybe in city driving.

>noisy in surburban areas, deafening on a highway

Maybe if it wasn`t a fucking SUV. Most diesels are actually more quiet because of the really LOOOOOONG gearing and don`t rev their tits off on the highway.
