for some reason i read this as "subie 10 second 1/4 mile for 60k" like you were gonna build a wrx that runs 10 second quarter miles
Aaron King
I thought it was just me, thanks boiyo
Ayden Bailey
twin truck turbos on a junkyard iron block 5.3 in a foxbody mustang, maybe see if you can buy a cheap tubbed roller to throw a big radial onto. Should come up to under $10k.

>falling for the LShit meme
lol, listen carefully OP:
fd rx7 - $500 high compression 13b from an N/A FC - $500 built powerglide - $1.5k built ford 9 inch rear - $1.5k wet nitrous kit - $1k fuel and spark stuff - $2k add $2k more for whatever else you need
there are no 5.3 blocks running the quarter in 6 seconds as far as I am aware
If you want a v8, get a 4 valve 4.6
there are 8 second STIs????
Noah White
wtf my image get ur shit together hiromoot
Levi Ortiz
Dyno sheet and slip?
Daniel White
You're delusional if you think you can get a 10 second car for $10k using a rotary.
well I don't have a dyno sheet and a slip because thats not my car, but just google 10 second 13b
the engines themselves are pretty strong, you won't need to spend money on forged conrods, cranks, pistons or bearings, seals and so on
just make sure to keep seals healthy
lol yes, all you need is fuel, spark and forced induction, there is no need to spend tons of money or forged internals because a rotor housing and the rotor itself are nukeproof
also, I am don't disencouraging to get a fully built LS and dropping it in a corvette, but keep in mind that there are cheaper options
also, this a hellcat with nitrous and slicks will run 10's
Colton James
>a hellcat with nitrous and slicks will run 10's
...For $80k. Or you could build your own car for a tenth the price. Which is the whole point of drag racing.
Ethan Morales
Considered it, but with the dealer bubble soon to strike the hellkitties once the demon comes into dealers, a hellcat interested me more. It is a good option though, because it's a drag car that doesn't need a trailer.
Dylan Perry
Lexus SC300 W/2JZ VVTi swap and get a Precision 6266, upgrade the fuel system and give it a tune
Could probably be done for under $30k
Aaron Scott
Are you looking strictly at rwd setups or is awd a possibility? I feel like finding a lightweight jap awd coupe and putting a 600hp LSx in it would put you where you wanna be
Just for shits, how about a 2.5 RS Subaru for instance?
Michael Wright
Have you looked inside a subaru gearbox or looked at the diffs and cv axles? They grenade themselves on less than 300ft/lbs from a tiny banger, What's going to happen behind a forced induction 6l V8? Turning a Subaru into a drag car is a waste.
Preferably RWD due to the reduced complexity. I liked the vette due to the fact you can get a transaxle and driveshaft to be good to go.
Carson Phillips
Buy a bike Then Kys for being a dragfags who cant even figure out what they want
Bentley Parker
hellcats are depreciating like crazy, you can get one for like 50k
Brandon Gomez
I have not done those things, but I'm fairly certain parts may be purchased to reinforce the weak spots (probably all of it)
I hear you. Starting off with a Vette really puts your starting cost higher than it needs to be though... does it have to be streetable-ish?
Tyler Cox
Why would you ever start with a rotary for a drag car?
Eli Rogers
Maybe he hates oil
Brandon Long
Something I don't have to put on a trailer if I have to drive more than 5 miles. The vettes are higher, but the tech is there for streetability. It's needs to have A/C, I live in FL and the heat is brutal year round.

>I don't know what I am talking about
ok summerfag
Blake King
he wants to be a special snowflake
Kevin Myers
>most common import engine for drag racing >special
sure is summer in here
Hudson Moore
Better off starting with a base c6 than butchering a c5z.
