Gears grinding in miata

>gears grinding in miata
>can't tell if its a hydraulic issue or a worn out clutch
>i paid 1800 for it
>clutch install is 1200
>slave is 350

What do I do.

you paid what you get for

So hoon it and wait for it to die?

that's honestly what i would do famalam

Mazda dealership price or what

>clutch install is 1200

Option 3: Synchros are fucked.

>Clutch install is 1200

Are you using some formula1 racing god-tier clutch?

do the clutch yourself???

it's as easy as changing your oil. you have to be a complete moron or a stacy normie to have never done a clutch yourself before

Drop the trans and do the clutch yourself. If you've got 4 jack stands and a floor jack, which you should, you can do it.

>slave is $350

wat. it's a $40 part, tops, plus an hour of labor, tops.

seriously, you can do the slave and master yourself in an afternoon for well under $100. it's a common problem. slave cylinder is pretty much in the front right wheel well. check the fluid level at the master; have a buddy work the clutch and check to see if the master or slave leak.

>Buying an older car
>Buying a roadster
>Being afraid to wrench on it yourself

or just pay somebody who knows what they're doing to do it with no problems....morons

Fix it m80, it's not that difficult. It will also be a hell of a lot cheaper.

>it's as easy as changing your oil. you have to be a complete moron or a stacy normie to have never done a clutch yourself before
Nah LS swapping it in an afternoon is definitely a simpler affair, you'd have to be fully retarded to not be able to do this

>not building a carbon fiber composite roadster in a weekend with no help

>Oil
1 bolt
1 cap
>Clutch
6 bolts for the gbox
heavy gbox removal
clutch removal
clutch alignment
that fucking starter motor
any underbody bracing removal (up to 8 bolts)
and this is before even thinking about hydraulic
>Pretty much the same thing

Yeah what are you, a fucking moron?

So you paid almost half price of car for changing clutch? Smart boi.

Cant just bench press miata trans remove bolts frisbee in new clutch. When did you put your deposit in on your BRZ?

>Low quality bait
But I'll bite.

If he had money to blow on labor rates he would've purchased a more expensive car.

A clutch on an MX-5 should cost no more than $600 to do. Find a mechanic that isn't a fucking idiot.

be a man
drop the tranny and l,ook for yourself
